A live performance of Michelle Branch singing Are You Happy Now. Guitar: Brad Fernquist Bass: Teddy Landau Keyboards: Kevin Lovejoy Drums: Kenny Aronoff
She had just turned 20 when she did this. She wrote this song as a teen. She was 19 or 20 when she won the Grammy with Santana. Check out her acoustic solos in her mid 20s. Unbelievable! Compare that to Britney or Gaga. Head over heels superiority in musical talent. Michelle is vastly underrated (not to mention gorgeous). It's a shame that her new music doesn't get any air time, but I hope she doesn't give up. I would love to see her in concert.
Man I always loved this song when I heard it I was 13 and didn't speak english at all now that I know what it means it's even better and her voice it's amazing, she can actually play and sing very talented girl
Something incredible about this performance: there isn't a single background singer, no one to help her with the chorus, nothing. She is left alone on an island and you know what? She more than holds her own. Not too many performers can pull off live singing, let alone do it like this. Bravo.
LOVE YOUUU MICHELLE FROM ARGENTINAA ... SINGS PERFECT ..BEST ARE YOU HAPPY NOW ,DESPERITLY,BREATHE,EVERYWHERE,GAME OF LOVE, Empty Handed ,Find Your Way Back ,Where Are You Now...AMAZING SONGS BUT NOW WHAT IS SHE DOING IN 2009 ?¿?¿
@immortalsoloist michelle: could you look me in the eye? me: without jumping you? nope... not possible ahaha! but honestly, she's been there my whole teenage life too. and if you take time to read her bio over at her site, she loves music too much and for this reason, she chose not to be in the pop arena - the love for music just wasn't there.
@WhiskeyTear Dude so agreed. I am in to all sorts of a good music including Metal and all but I love Michelle and have always loved her work. She isn't a fake she is a true musician :) Cheers to that man!
A perfect message to elderly and all presidents, politicians, and all the rest of political party cults and many more. Imaging, a capitol music festival definitely a top song
I love this song. I hate that the guy I am in love with has posed this Q to me? How can I tell you that I will never get over it? Over you? Just let it slide and let's both pretend to be happy.
Wow I remember the days in elementary school summers when this song was out and I loved her music so much. Now they gave us shit to listen to today. Hey Lady Gaga: this is what REAL music is!
