I appreciate this message. Nothing but confirmation for me as a wife. I am the oldest of six daughter's no brothers and I know I can cook when my family look forward to reporting to the kitchen just for left overs. Yet I have a husband since day one of marriage will not eat anything GOD blessed me to bless other's with to eat. Then over they years there was always another woman while I made bath water, left dinner in a microwave, became a mother despite being a high risk pregnancy, preachers daughter and the list goes on...he's a deacon that is never home now. He was never my Boaz.

This is so profound for I thought Boaz found me, but when i realized that i wasn't the Ruth for Boaz, at that time God showed me that it was Bozo not Boaz in my life. so after 2 more circus events with the Bozos faking to be a Boaz. Now if I was in the correct position as Ruth was I would have not lost 6 years of craziness. But God Jesus Jesus But God. He took me thru the Ringling Bailey Bozo Circus for a reason. But when Boaz found me I was ready because God prepared me for what HE had in store for me. This marriage is a never ending adventure of happiness and joy. Going on 5 years

Great teaching. My case is different. I moved in with my first love, my best friend; got pregnant and engaged, and just 7weeks after giving birth he passed away from a car accident. I then accepted Jesus & got married to the Devil himself,disguised in the church and ended up divorcing after 18 months. The pain I felt during & after divorce was so severe & beyond anything I have experienced in life.

A Boaz is good man. However, "Ruth's" out there don't "put up with" age differences. Even Boaz touched on it when addressing Ruth. Funny, not funny thing, I had a woman say, I "was too young!". There would be more connections, if people didn't focus SO much on the physical.

Sending the link of this video to all my single friends. I'm in love with the wisdom you're oozing Sis Michelle. I read your books in my single years, every one of them, and your wisdom guided me through the toughest times. Your books was a tool the Lord used to renew my mind from dating Moab style to courting kingdom style. I can assure you that the truths you wrote were tough to imbibe because it negated the filth I had believed. Sometimes I would really get hit below the belt by a truth and I would put the book down and walk away, refusing to give up the strong hold in my mind. But God would keep drawing me back and I would return to reading, sometimes in days and other times in weeks or month. I was committed to the process though and I can say that I've come very far. God bless you for your faith and example. The Lord really does minister through you.

This is just trying to passively be ok with letting your dreams pass you by. I think God has a plan, but if all single black women waited on miracles, they would all get married at 50 and older - if ever. None of us hardly would ever have our own children. It is just sad so many levels that women like her are remaining unmarried. If she, who I know is quality, never got chosen, there is absolutely no hope for other single black women who are not at her level. The whole state and reality of dating and marriage absolutely depresses me. I am burying this area of my life for my own peace and happiness. One less thing I have to stress and cry over.

@105:40 Some of us women would love to ask a man to 'help' us do something, but many of them are so lazy and unavailable that you get literally 'tired' of looking for the help. So, as a result, we HAVE TO do it ourselves (i.e. mow our own lawn, fix stuff in the home, change our oil, etc). We don't want to be out there doing these things, but we haven't much choice in the matter. Not trying to be negative toward our men, but unfortunately this is the case.

Also, are women okay with their male friends asking them to cook a meal for them? For me, there are certain spaces of my life that I don't want my male friends to become too comfortable in (such as providing those services). One of my love languages is acts of service. So, it could potentially feed emotionally in a way that we did not intend for it. Now, I don't mind a male friend fixing something for me if there is an exchange (monetary or watching his dog, etc.). I am okay with it on rare occasions but my friends are not my go to people to handle responsibilities in my life. It is not because I am prideful but I think it is a necessary boundary for me.

I agree with everything you said. I'd love to depend on someone to help and I've had to do it myself. Or take forever to do it and I dont have the time to wait so I do it myself

I agree with her; forget about you being"thirsty"; let the lover of our souls; Christ Jesus, satisfy our thirsty souls, instead of trying to"help God out." coffee house hopping, park lurking and bar twerking. God's word says "Prove ye Me"; the Burger King spirit is alive and well in the Church, instead of the spirit of submission to God. Ladies; if you can't submit to Gods simple command to be patient, and wait, how do you think you'll ever submit to your future husband?
