When I was in school, a few of the councilors would try and guide AA students towards manual labor or other jobs that didn’t require a degree! Good thing so many of us ignored this! I came from a family of teachers and we had one doctor so a degree was expected from us! A few didn’t get one but everybody doesn’t need one! I think a trade school is a better idea for some people that don’t need many of the extra courses that you may never use again. and many do get an Associates in whatever their field is.
