I love Grease 2 I don't understand why some people talk so bad about this film I think it was just as great as the first part and the soundtrack was awesome
Completely agree imo the reason it didn't get the credit it deserved is because the 1st was such a hit and more importantly the 2 main actors were better known actors. Imo the 2nd is better and the songs have aged better
Oh totally. Loved this film when l first saw it and still love it. Prefer it just a little bit more than G1. The songs were more for me at the time. Still looking for my cool rider though.
These 4 and a half minutes immortalized and made Michelle Pfeiffer eternally cool. It also made a lot of girls in the '80s stand a little taller. Guys also wanted their own Stepahnie/Michelle. Ironically, this is the anti-"Hopelessly Devoted To You", it's a girl saying, "I know what I want, and it's not you."
But let's be real. If any girl would ever turn down Max, outside of the reasons being either already in a relationship or being a lesbian, they gotta get their head checked.
My best friend and I would quote the movie to each other all through school. 40 years later we can make each other giggle by starting to sing one of the songs. We both crushed on Michelle so hard. To my wife’s dismay I got my kids hooked on it to the point they ruined our vhs tape. Had to get another copy.
Michelle Pfiefer:” Do you really wanna know what I want in a guy?” Me: no all I wanna know is how the hell did you not fall of that ladder while dancing ?! 😂
if theres one thing that grease 1 and 2 have taught me - its ...if someone doesn't like you ...just change everything about who you are until they accept you lololol !!!!
I agree that people shouldnt change who they are for other ppl but i dont think thats what the films did, i think it was just people going out of there way to show the other that side of them the the person wouldnt normally see without getting to know them. But what should be talked about is how these films show these characters trying to get together with ppl who are only capable of seeing ppl at face value. Another thing that doesnt get talked about is that in all the hollywood love stories its always guys chasing after the girl who cant make up her mind like shes a simple creature who doesnt know what she wants and has to go through all kind of drama to figure out that she does want to be withthat guy, women should be insulted by these stories and the thought behind them. Im a guy and i cringe when girls only go to the movies to watch those stupid love stories.
Her leg shaking towards the end of the scene and ladder straddle made me feel all kinds of new and exciting things as a little boy... Hell, still does!
Love this song and the hook... " he can burn me through and through" "No ordinary boy is gonna do, whoooa whoooa" - Aim high ladies because Michelle said so!!
Briana Balthazar I love how when she gets to the top of the letter she swings that leg around on to the other side and kind of straddles the top of the ladder and then raises her hands up and slowly down and pushes her butt out
+Evelyn Caplinger doesn't mean its not her voice; the music for musicals is almost always adr'd over after even if they're actually singing it on the actual recording. that was why there was such a big deal made with Les Mis because it was the first time it hadn't been done that way fully.
Best song in this movie, I still listen to this on repeat XD Never getting tired of it. Also those moves are sick and really hard to do, she's talented.
1000% agreed with you. In fact , is so cult this movie, thanks for Pfeiffer, that cameron Daiz said that she love to see Michelle dancing in cool rider scene. Michelle is a cult actress.
Me too. I went to this girl Stephanie's house for sleepovers and that's the first time I watched it. Mid eighties on a large flat screen. Laying on some green couch fantasizing about being a teenager in love ❣️🛵💃
i'm not sure if i can say what movie is better but to me this song is the best in the series and honestly i could just think that because i used to have a huge crush on Pfeiffer
What I love is that the song isn't just amazing, but that it also told me what Stephanie wanted. We see what Michael wants the whole movie but I wondered what Stephanie thought and then this song comes up and I was like, WOW!
I love the eighties sounding guitars and drums in this song. You'd never guess this movie was set in the sixties if you listened to the soundtrack alone. Or if you looked at all their hairstyles.
Well we know what started Michelle's career. I Love this song and how she sings it. I Love Grease 1 & 2, Musical movies. Even though to this day, everyone still watches Grease (Original) more ❤❤❤ I would watch both because the Grease movies are symbolic to me. Thank you for the memories. ❤🌻🌹🦋❤ The Soundtrack for both movies, especially in Grease 1...Legendary.
We watched this on Scrammbled Pay TV back when it came out!! Knew every song after the first couple times "watching" it. Thank goodness for video stores back then!
I watched them film this scene, it was filmed during my senior year in high school, I went to a private school in Norwalk, California. And Excelsior high school was across the street
She is barely moving, and those heels are like three inches. Even I could do that, and I am not really a high heels sort of person. I wear them in the summer once in a while.
Haha you should see dancers in madonna's tour, even Britney or Beyoncé. They have people doing some very athletic things in heels... Even some guys. O.o
I remember me and my friends all got leather jackets from this free clothes place where we lived and thought we was the T Birds for the day 😂😂😂 the things u do as kids. And Michelle is so beautiful in this film.
Why do people hate Grease 2? I love this; one of my favorite sequels She's like the bad sandy with more confidence and too cool for school We ALL know there is no comparing the original so I realpy wish this was a stand alone film because its uniquely its own thing and people dont realize it. Faaaar better than any other high school based musical or any of their sequels
Technically Michael is the Sandy character, just the guy version of course. He’s the transfer student, and Stephanie is like the “bad” girl, and he changes to fit into the style.
