I loved her performance in “The greatest showman”. It was the way she showed admiration towards her husband that was truly beautiful to me. That movie made her known to me. Never knew her before. Then I searched her other movies and watched the “Great Wizard of Oz” which was a kind of prelude to the Showman. Also, loved her role as a woman who loves and puts faith in the one she loves. Then I watched Blue Valentine. It was a very authentic depiction of marriage life that I can relate to as a moment of passage. I never was a fan of anyone in Hollywood, but now Michelle Williams is an actress that truly uses her gifts to help humanity to deeper self understanding through the media. Thank you, Michelle. Keep true to your heart always.
She is so honest and whenever she gives an interview (she is a very private person) so when she gives an interview its always good because she just dosent tell everybody everything, i respect her and i love her as an actress and you cant help but love her love for the movies she makes, especially in her Marilyn interview.
U can honestly tell she admired this project. It wasn't just "Ohh, another interview saying the same ole shit" NOO! this wasn't an interview it was a story and a well told story by the brilliant Michelle Williams!!
This woman is so dedicated to her craft and making good movies. She could have acted in rom coms or action movies and just collect million dollar paychecks, instead she does meaningful indie dramas like Wendy and Lucy, Meek's Cutoff, Blue Valentine, Synechdoche New York etc. and many of them are very low budget. She is amazing.
@CriCruz she's totally talking about Heath because that's what she said in an interview about working with Ledger in Brokeback. Something like ''I had a performance to respond to''. Sweet. And damn sad.
@TheConciseStatement Sorry, correction. Keira and Carey didn't play sisters in Never Let Me Go but classmates and friends - but it was essentially a sibling-like closeness within a love triangle.

@Tigerlily21 I agree with you until you said he was emotionally manipulative. I'd say he was mostly a straight shooter and a decent guy to her and the child all the way. He got beaten up for her, he helped raise her kid, he tried to be upbeat and positive. He tried to do right by her and family. Worked hard, wasnt tempermental or abusive. I mean life is a series of imperfect, random circumstances. People fall in love and just as quickly OUT. No ones fault.
@gonnagetssum - I haven't seen this film yet, but she was excellent in the little bit of Brokeback Mountain I watched. It's unfair of you to call her a crappy actress.
@lostlost22 It's also nice to see a proper interview where you actually learn about the interviewee instead of that shallow, five second red carpet, "Who are you wearing?/ Love your work!" bollocks, or a press junket where the poor actor has to recite the plot 1500 times. On the subject of Williams with Mulligan - they're both fantastic, young actresses with a striking resemblance, but Mulligan was recently matched to Keira Knightley as sisters, and Williams is a MUCH better actress than her.
@flowerdoodle he drank too much and didn't help around the house, I don't know if you know how nurses schedules work, but they do 12 hour shifts or longer... It must've been terribly depressing and exhausting for her to come home and take care of two kids, after having taken care of sick patients.. On the other hand, it was a huge lack of communication, I think no matter what, she wanted out.. He wanted to work out their marriage, she should've yelled at him and told him to clean and cook!
