In this video, we visit a small community in northern Mississippi to shoot some "abandoned" buildings in black and white with the Hasselblad 500 C/M and TMAX 100 film. We'll follow it up with looking at prints from the scans on several photo papers.

Hello Keith as I watch this video, a photo project screams out at me. In a time of division and polarization ,in the world and in nations, this little historical town reminds us to remember and learn from our history, not forget it and denigrate it. I respect this property owner placing new American flags on these old buildings in a spot reminiscent of so much pain and division from a civil war that opened great wounds in your nation. I am not an American but I pray for your nation that it will remember its past and remember where division and hate lead and choose to heal. Thank you for your content👍😀

This is kind of crazy. I live just outside of Memphis and I love to explore on my motorcycles. I found Michigan City just a few weeks ago completely by accident. Cool.

I believe that dark maroon brick structure was a wooden building and the brick front or facade was added later from the 1920's up until the 1950's. I would also bet there was another vanished structure between that brick one and the wood one with the porch. Well done Keith

Hello, my dear friends. Once again, it's a very nice video to watch. Just looking at the buildings gives the impression that there is a whole history behind them. Your good old Hasselblad is still doing its job in this digital age. Film remains something different and special. Teena's video work is as good as your photos are. Thank you as I can see gloves are sometimes included in the archival system sold through B&H. Also could you direct me to where I can find similar mats as described in your website. PS I am trying to gather as much information about presenting my prints when I will have plenty of time soon to retire. Thank you again.

I order mats online. Make a google search for custom cut picture mats or wholesale mats or something similar and you should find some good options. I can't remember specifically where i ordered mine but I think it was from a custom frame website.
