I remember finding arrowheads and other artifacts with my aunt as a young teenager back in the early 70’s. She would walk her dog in the neighbors fields and find all sorts of artifacts. She was such a natural “finder” that the local university, near her hometown in Dayton Ohio, would ask her to help teach field walking techniques to new archeology students. I still have a couple of the artifacts we, (she) found when we walked her pup in the fields. Dear Aunt Minah, thanks for sharing your world with me. I kept that love of archeology that you sparked in me those long years ago! RIP, your nephew, Brian

Yup, picking up a 13,000-year-old Covis point is almost a spiritually metaphysical life-changing experience. I picked mine up on a terrace on the side of a long hill overlooking the Puerco River in Arizona with a view over a fertile plain that stretched for miles. I swear standing there, being the first man to see and hold that point in 13,000 years... That moss-agate Clovis point sent a wave of emotions and unique feelings through me... For a time, as I stood there, literally in the footprints of a man 13,000 years before me, I could almost see through his eyes, looking over that plain with huge mega-fauna grazing on it. I could feel the icy near-ice-age winds of eons ago blowing across my face, just as he had. Words fail me... but a sense came over me of great antiquity and earthy history of men living wild on the ground... struggling, just barely surviving, in a dangerously hostile land hunting frighteningly powerful beasts. Hunting those monstrous creatures with nothing but pointy rocks tied on sticks... One of the most beautiful moments in my life...

I have a piece of big stone spear point I found in Oregon a few years back, found it with a little white arrowhead, and found a fire tool, the (flywheel)rock that would have been on a bow drill, has a hole in the rock where a stick would have been put through. I just moved to Michigan a year ago, so this excites me to do some yard work! The Copper Mines of The UP has some of the coolest history and artifacts, the old copper fishing knife with fish scale preserved in the patina is the coolest In my view.

There's been Clovis sites discovered in Michigan for many years I don't know why that guy said it's the first. I've literally found a couple of Clovis bases in South Haven about 40 minutes north of St. Joe. Another thing if you break away for the mainstream guys you will find many Clovis sites dating back to 20,000 years and you'll also learn they came across the Atlantic not the Pacific.
@bigbensarrowheadchannel2739
@bigbensarrowheadchannel2739 2 месяца назад
@@chadklaren9537nobody came across the Atlantic. DNA has already discredited the Solutrean theory. Many years ago. This is an archaeological site. With the Clovis points found in context. Big difference than finding one that's been pulled up by the plow.

Know the climate history of the planet know the history of man on the planet. Galactic Milankovitch cycles. Eccentricity rotation of galactic bulge 240,000 years, Obliquity going from ice age to tropical age every 60,000 years. Precession of the 7 north stars crossing over teh galaxies magnetic plane milky way every 12,000 years for a 1,000 years causing the END TIMES.
