They were surviving in the first half UNTIL the Loveland fumble. That was pretty much the nail in the coffin. (Sherrone Moore is looking like he's over his head right now. Guess that's what UM gets for hiring a dude who's NEVER been a HC)
I can't believe how many Iowa people I've heard in the last 4 days basically say, "Kirk, thank you for all you have done, but please go enjoy your retirement"
I honestly feel bad for Iowa. I don’t know what kind of coach they could replace him with, but under Kirk Ferentz they will never field an elite team, his style of coaching forbids it. They win 9-10 games a year but that was in the lowly big ten west. They usually get humiliated any time they face an excellent team.
Nebraska’s offense was stymied by some of the worst refs in the power 4. They may not be all the way back but they are clearly heading the right direction.
The future is.... next year all of their All-American Stars are gone. The NCAA punishments could include a 2 year post season Bowl ban, lost scholarships and recruiting punishments will mean players enter the portal and recruits will dry up. Making it 5 years before they will be a big ten title contender
UM will have a much worse record in 25 than 24. They lose 3 high draft picks off the defense, and as the offense has shown, they don’t recruit well enough to simply reload NFL top 15 picks.
The future is the same as the last two decades. These last three years were not the norm. It took Jim seven years, and Connor to make the playoffs. Welcome back to the middle of the pack.
Everyone looks vulnerable except for Ohio State. With 18 teams, the B10 is definitely down this year. The only three teams that look capable of the playoffs is OSU, Nebraska and USC. Oregon - maybe.
FYI..... in regards to Indiana and W Illinois, I saw an FCS ranking that had W Illinois 128 out of 129 teams. Likely, there are some good JUCOs that could beat them.
I think Oregon State is gonna give Oregon issues this weekend. It’ll be interesting. I’d love to see Wisconsin upset Bama, but it is unlikely. I’d take Wisconsin and the points, though. I have USC as my no.2 in the B1G right now. I thought Iowa was gonna have a really good season this year, but they’re not looking as good as I thought they would.
In regards to NEB, they looked good Sat, but there is no way they are a ranked team (#23 in new AP). For a team that hasn't won 6 games in a season for 8 yrs, you don't get ranked after beating UTEP and what is likely a 4 win COLO team. There are signs of some really good improvement, but let's slow the roll a bit.
Of course little minion Aaron is going to say he would rather be cheating Michigan because he’s Steve’s little minion always has been. Continue to kiss the ass of your master Aaron😘
Iowa loss to IS reminded me of LSU loss to USC. Coach gets too comfortable with a possession and score ahead with 10 minutes left….Murphy’s Law takes over.
It was shut out week even Ohio State shut out Western Michigan it'll be another 20 years before they get another one. Love Nebraska this year can't beat a great quarterback a definite difference maker.
Michigan doesnt reload like the big 3 recruiting powers. They took advantage of there talented veteran team. Need to recruit a little better in the upcoming years
No, CVD saved their program and saved their coach. In 2023 they 44 “grads” and the average player age was 23 years old. Winning against literal 18,19, and even 20 year olds isn’t a flex.
@@foxbodyblues6709that's why they thought they were a developmental program. No, they just got a bunch of guys to come back. Oh, and cheated of course.
It has more to do with you than you think. RU-vid uses a sophisticated algorithm to anticipate what ads you might be receptive to. AI can be wrong however.
Give it a rest and go outside. They won every major game en route to the natty long after Stalions was gone. They were 2-0 in the playoffs without Stalions and went 0-2 in the playoff with stalions. Even the NCAA President Baker said they won it fair and square, yet here trolls like you are with old takes that were trumped.
@@mgoboski TCU said they knew Michigan was cheating, changed their signals and it showed in the first quarter. Michigan looked absolutely lost. Once Michigan figured out the signals changed they started to actually play football and still almost won. Imagine if they just came out and played football, it would had been Michigan vs UGA that year.
Ohio has the best team money can buy this year! What’s the “payroll” up to now? Won’t matter though because Day will still be Day in the big games against similar talent. Imagine if Ohio doesn’t win the Natty this season. 😳😳 O-H….
The team up north always have excuses, they should've went to the portal especially with what they lost , Ohio state gonna smash the team up north this year, Ryan Day he won big games, and been to a Natty, lost to a very stacked bama squad that year beat a very good Clemson squad to get there so do your homework buddy, a field goal away from beating Georgia which that team went on to smash TCU by 63 O-H-I-O!!
Steve, I am a big fan of the show, but with apologies, it needs to be said. When you run a program, cheat and get caught you are in rebuild mode. When you run an honest program with stability on the coaching staff, you reload. Michigan is in rebuild mode and it will be awhile. Sometimes the truth hurts.
For those still talking about cheating. Your team is either smart enough to not get caught, or not smart enough to do it. And/Or your naive. My money is on the first, and the later.
They are all doing it. I’m not defending it. I’m pointing out that your team is doing it too. Just because you don’t know about it doesn’t mean it’s not happening. You are in denial if you think they aren’t. I’m not saying it’s right and I never said that.
