As a buckeye fan … I have to admit, this is one of my favorite Michigan traditions. How can one not get pumped to get to the game after seeing all this energy?!
I remember how cool it was marching to THE BIG HOUSE. The excellent drum cadences, chants and horn tricks were fab. The already pumped up the fans were always enthusiastic and supportive. Some came out of their homes just to see us pass. YUBA and always, GO BLUE! ]\/[ Flags '75
Was lucky enough to once meet Dr Revelli, and sit in on a Marching band practice back in 1969. I can still remeber when there were no women in the marching band.
and I was LUCKY to have been picked to play snare drum when I was in high school , with the U of M marching band on the field of BIG HOUSE two times for Band Day 50 and 51 years ago ....WOW it was mind blowing and to have 100,000 fans CHEERING was unbelievable . I wish they still wore the same style band uniforms from 50 years ago - because the new ones do not look good at all
