Mick Grant probably one of the best podcasts I've listened to. His choice of best rider, Mike the bike is bang on.

Brilliant. Mick is a great raconteur as well as a superb rider. His knowledge is peerless. I really appreciated his reference to Stanley Woods. And when pushed Mick put two strokes in front of four strokes. Well done to Steve and Chris for the podcast.

OMG, what an absolutely fantastic time! Thank you so much for sharing your experiences! I got into road racing in the early ’70’s before most people in the USA knew it existed. Raced an RD350 at Aspen and Denver, Colorado, with the Mountain Roadracing Association. Experienced some of the most amazing US courses, Riverside Raceway, and Ontario Motor Speedway before they closed a few years later, and others around California on an RD125 set up by Pat Hennen. You were my heroes who inspired me to participate in this, most exhilarating sport. I thought dragging my knees in the corners a great achievement. Today the best are skimming the tarmac with their forearms. My how times have changed! Lots of great memories.

I met Mick at Mondello Park back in 84 when I was a mere 14 year old kid. He was very nice, gave me the time off day let me sit in his RG500 and told me it was Barry Sheene's bike the previous year! Then let me sit on his GSX1100EF road bike which he and his Wife had ridden over on. I was a fan of his before that and a bigger one after that. Top man.😁👍

That was great fun Mick grant is so very dry. Remember seeing him at a vintage trials demo. Jamie Whitham was competing on a BSA Bantam and took a real tumble As MG helped him up I heard him say "Another discipline mastered then Whitham!".

Steve mentioned 600 maybe reaching 129, but MDunlop reached 135! In 2023!!!. Perhaps for the future a top limit of 600cc should be considered. Speeds must be capped. 👍 Great interview👍👍 Cheers from New Hampshire🇺🇲✌️

Quarry Bends used to be quite tight, as Mick said; what he forgot to say was that it was also through basically a tunnel of trees - very dark.

Top man. I'm beginning to think it has to slow down if they're doing 130mph on day 1. We're surely getting to bhp restrictions with 200mph on Selby...OR putting the 2nd gear corners back in instead of them being straightened enough to being 5th gear, the knock on effect means insane speeds with 2023 bikes
