I love how this song has a carnival theme to it, and the joy and merriment is soon gone with the theme of this song. Time is fleeting and it will leave us all to soon.
My parents used to listen to the original from Manu Chao. As the years passed by and I was no longer a child, I forgot about it. But it was stuck somewhere in my memory, waiting to be unlocked for later. Then I decided to watch BB recently, and thanks to that, I'm reunited with both the original and this excellent cover. Thanks for that, Waltuh.
I'm walking out for love I'm walking out really down In the cool breeze, I'm gonna be late again Driver wait for me, please I'm running all in vain Tryna catch this train Time don't fool me no more I throw my watch to the floor It's gone crazy, time don't do it again Now I'm stressed and strained Anger and pain in the subway train Now it's half past two Long gone the rendezvous Now it's half past three Time made a fool out of me Now it's half past four Baby, can't you see? No use in waiting no more It's a timing tragedy I think it's nine when the clock says ten This girl wouldn't wait for the out of time Out of time, man Time don't fool me no more I throw my watch to the floor It's gone crazy, time don't do it again Now I'm stressed and strained Anger and pain in the subway train Now it's half past three Long gone the rendezvous Now it's half past three Time made a fool out of me Now it's half past four Baby, can't you see? No use in waiting no more It's a timing tragedy I think it's nine when the clock says ten This girl wouldn't wait for the out of time Now it's half past two Long gone the rendezvous Now it's half past three Time made a fool out of me Now it's half past four Baby, can't you see? No use in waiting no more It's a timing tragedy Now it's half past two Long gone the rendezvous Now it's half past three Time made a fool out of me Now it's half past four Baby, can't you see? Just heard this song on the radio and was thinking it sounded familiar, sounds like The Passenger by Iggy Pop but knew it wasn't the reason why I knew it. Turns out it's from Mt previous addiction to Crysta...actually not that but very close!
Started watching Breaking Bad for the first time ever this past month & finished the very 4th episode last night. Love the tracks at the end of each episode so far, but this one at the end of the pilot is the most enjoyable of the ones I’ve heard so far! 😙
That's similar vibe, funny how modern television Introduces me to those classics... Like I met this one from breaking bad. And with passenger i got this one from the boys.
Mick Harvey is one of the greatest artist ever ! So glad this song has been made popular thanks to breaking bad but if you like it please check more of his stuff . He is a legend
@Amanda Acevedo hate to break it to you, but this song is not his. The original is by a fantastic band Mano Negra, they don't exist anymore, but check them out. You may be familiar with their member who went forth as Manu Chao after they disbanded.
@@spartanthe300ththermopylae4 oh thanks for that , actually already knew this , I never said I thought he wrote it . I heard the original and I know is great , actually I work with Mick Harvey ...and I know he mostly does interpretations of other songs . Just saying that most people find this thanks to breaking bad but Mick is a fantastic artist who was in some of the most important and incredible bands ....and he deserves more attention
@@amandaacevedo_6 thanks for clarifying. No, you've not said it. But, by describing Mick as "one of the best artists ever", "a legend", etc, and by mentioning the Breaking Bad series *but not* the original author, it made it seem as if you were implying that Mick was the original author. Anyway, good luck to Mick and you (since you work together) on your future projects. I just thought that the original author, Mano Negra (it was a fantastic band) and in particular Manu Chao, who wrote it, deserved a mention as well when talking about this great song.
@@SpartanThe300th of course I understand and respect that and the original song , but Mick is Indeed in my opinion one of the greatest musicians and arrangers out there , being founding member of "Nick Cave and the Bad seeds" , arranger for PJ Harvey and producer for Rowland S Howard etc who are truly brilliant artist and Mick's help in their career was fundamental. Mick transforms songs in a beautiful way and takes them to a different place . Which is what we have been doing together lately. But of course he never intends to ignore the importance of the original versions , he usually covers artists he truly respects and calls his versions "an interpretation" more than a cover , so it's a rendition and his own feel into the songs , he translated many Serge Gainsbourg songs into English and did a fantastic work . So yeah I admire him very much and I think he deserves recognition and support which I always try to provide .
@@amandaacevedo_6 Not sure why you are still going on about Mick "being one of the best artists on Earth, a legend"? Yet you feel the need to explain who he is and what he's done. It's a little bit like jokes: only the bad ones need explaining. I'll be blunt: if your guy wants to become "a legend", "one of the best artists in the world", etc, he needs to create *his own* stuff. Not just "interpret" the work of other artists. Innovation is much harder than imitation (pardon, "interpretation"). 🙄 As you've said yourself, "in your opinion", your guy is the best thing on Earth since sliced bread. It's OK, I get it; you've made your point. But, now you are labouring your point.
Everyone's just talking about Breaking Bad. This song is a masterpiece that deserves to be recognized on it's own merits, not just from the Funny Meth Show.
How have you never heard of Breaking Bad it's literally one of the most popular TV series out there I watched it like 2 months ago for the first time and it's pretty good but I first heard of it way before I even thought of watching it.
Woh this is really good why am I only now discovering? I was looking at where one of my videos was suddenly getting recommended from and it was this (honestly unsure why but hey that’s cool). I was unfamiliar but damn I’m glad I checked out. Super 60s
Everyone is so descriptive...here goes...this song is like pulling a good boogie and being able to roll it into a solid little ball and then flip it across the room where it makes a small noise as it collides with whatever
@@philipcollins90 I'll tell you more. Almost everyone in Russia heard about this series. "Better Call Saul" is also popular with us. We also often use fragments from these series in memes.
