Hey howdy hey how is everybody doing and welcome back to Disney Daily
On this channel I have talked about the most popular, classic and iconic character of them all Mickey Mouse.
Mickey seems to be a character that most Disney fans know a lot about due to the fact that he has been around for so long and his whole life story has really been flushed out whether it be on tv, comics or storybooks.
I mean we know the basics about him like his signature attire, his love interest , and his best friends in the whole entire world. But what if I told you Mickey Mouse has family members?
Now this is something I have known for a while but I was hesitant to share it on my channel because of a few different reasons.
One is that most of the comics are hard to verify whether it’s canon or not. Additionally, a lot of these characters are only seen in the comics or only seen once. But I figured why not share this information with you all and you can decide for yourself what to do with it. Plus these videos are fun to make and add more to our overall Disney knowledge.
So without further ado, let's jump into meeting Mickey Mouse’s not so well known relatives!

I feel like felicity is super underrated, they should put her in more modern media of Mickey, I also think that Oswald and Julius are also both older siblings to Mickey since there both made bye Walt, let’s hope the Disney siblings will be in more of the modern media :D

Hey, I just wanted to tell you about some relatives you’ve missed out on. I was excited to see you mention Maximillion, Maxwell, and most of all Malinda! However, I did manage to find two uncles you missed out on! “Uncle Gudger” is the title of a story, and the name of a relative who tried bumming it at Mickey’s house, along with his pets and an old war buddy. He later reappeared in a few comics, but they haven’t been reprinted in America, though one story did get an English translation for an Australian comic. In two far shorter tales we meet a few more Walsh relatives. In “The Little Genius” we meet his cousin, a little kid named Emerson. Emerson's mother, Mary Sue, appears at the end of the story. Then, in “Mickey’s Great Grandfather” we meet Albemarle Mouse, he comes to Mickey’s for a visit. It’s a fairly short yarm, easy to miss, however he ended up coming back for one more story, in “Valley Of The Kachinas" (Mickey Mouse issue 142) The last comic strip character I can think of, (Who i very nearly forgot), was Mickey’s Cousin Madeline Mouse, who pretended to be Mick’s girlfriend in “Love Trouble”, see Minnie was dating this Mortimer-Wannabe, so this was all part of a plan to make her jealous.

I know this is about three years later, but I still want to say that this is a good video. Do you think you could do a video on Minnie's family? I think there is a comic where we see Minnie's parents and that her father is named Marcus, which is more than we know of Mickey's parents. And funnily enough she has an uncle named Mortimer, which is also the name of one of her admirers.

I have read lots of comics featuring Mickey Mouse but it only occurred to me today that the inclusion of his nephews seems to be so... optional. With Donald Duck comics, Huey, Dewey and Louie are almost always around in some form, even if they're referenced as being out for the day so the story can focus on Donald alone. With Mickey, there are plenty of comics where Mortie and Ferdie are around as his nephews, even if it's in the background, but also plenty where they're just completely absent and Mickey seems to be living all by himself. Funny how that works.

@Disney Daily I know this video is old, but I just felt I should give you the heads up, that Morty Mouse and Ferdie Mouse are part of Mickey Mouse's pit crew in the new video game Disney Speedstorm. This, in my mind, now makes Felicity Fieldmouse, Morty and Ferdie considered canon, as this game that is in closed beta at the moment on PC gaming platorms like Steam and Epic Games, is some of the newest Disney material, and gives me hopes we may see Felicity, Morty and Ferdie in cartoons.

Great video I been getting into the comics lately as well. I wonder 🤔 💭 if the parks have some kind of representation of mickeys family. Love it @disneydaily maybe one day you can do video on my pal goofy and who is Max’s mom is she human or dog 🐩 like goofy lol 😂

My daughter is super into Minnie's Bowtique, and I would like somewhat of a back story into minnie mouse. She also has twin nieces Millie and Melody. But the siblings (parents of the twins) are never even mentioned. I have been looking to see if there's something about it in the old cartoons but haven't found a thing.

This was such a interesting video. My aunt is a huge fan of Mickey Mouse and we watched this video together and found so many interesting facts. May one of the next videos be about Clara cluck?
