This is the version of "Frisco Depot" from Mickey Newbury's "In A New Age" album from 1988. It was Mickey's last vinyl release. It was put out on the Airborne label, which folded shortly after the album was released. This album, Mick's first studio recording in seven years, introduced violinist, Marie Rhines. Mickey played the Photon guitar he'd gotten from Chet Atkins. There's a lot more to the story of this album, which you can read about in Joe Ziemer's biography of Mickey, "Crystal & Stone". The record was laid down in a single day.
