It's probably too small scale to last long on Broadway. I could see it doing well Off-Broadway though

​@@destructiondecaydesire Fair point but there's a couple of reasons as to why Gutenberg! did so well. 1) It was a Book of Mormon reunion, one of the longest running shows on Broadway and beloved by many people, even if they never saw the original cast so this would be a good opportunity to see them either again or for the first time. 2) It's less susceptible to criticism from people, especially the notoriously harsh Broadway critics since it's intentionally shitty. 3) The cameos, once those started getting posted on social media and people knew to expect a different one every night that made people want to go see it more even if they knew nothing about the show itself. It was also a limited run that was only supposed to play for about 3 months. I don't have zero hope for it being successful on Broadway, I just think a smaller theatre would work better, especially if they do the Little Shop of Horrors route of swapping out the leads every few months or so with recognisable faces who aren't necessarily huge stars. That current production has been running Off-Broadway since 2019 (Barring COVID obviously)

Same!! And I remember thinking at the time, this is going to go on west end 🤩 just came back from watching it, it was as amazing as the first time watching it!

I’ve stopped listening to soundtracks before I see shows. I don’t feel like just the music is an accurate representation of the show unless it’s a 100% sung through show.
