From her even being a part of the Rumble, to her being able to use her Impact theme, wearing her title, and WWE even mentioning her current status, and even that pop that she got when her music hit at the rumble, was insane. Everyone knew what was up, and it was great to see their acknowledgement as a legend of the business. To me, history was indeed made at the rumble, all because of her

They disrespected her to no end and yet people still praise her for making a deal with the company who sent her stuff back in a trash bag and the praise WWE for letting an impact star in the rumble but the only reason they asked her was because they fired too many women. They didn't even know she had a job. That's why they figured they could get her to come back. Then it had to be approved that she could bring the title with her. It was a disgrace.

I don't regularly watch Impact so I don't know what the deal is with Chelsea and Mickie but I was very surprised when Chelsea didn't try some heel tactics, attack Mickie or demand for a title opportunity(she asked very politely). Nice change of pace from the norm.

Intersting to note that the play by play announcer, Tom Hanifan, has called a Royal Rumble match in his career when he was Tom Phillips in WWE. His color guy, who I think was fka Aiden English, competed in multiple Rumble matches in the last decade.

That's the voice! I knew Tom was there, and I knew I recognized the other voice, but could not place it. Hate that English isn't wrestling anymore, but happy that he landed a job like this. Hope it works out well for him in the long run. I really liked The Vaudvillains and their gimmick, but unfortunately, those types of characters have a shelf life. I would have liked to have seen what other gimmicks he could have portrayed.

@@GeekExtremist He's been wrestling in Impact. He debuted aligning himself with Deonna Purrazzo as the "Drama King" last year and they had a short feud with Melina and Trey Miguel. Storyline wise, D'Lo Brown was the color commentator before, but got taken out by an invading ROH group called Honor No More two weeks ago. Matt took over for color on this episode because he got beat down on the same episode D'Lo did and is "healing up."

I love it when wrestling promotions name other wrestling promotions. Shows how the Forbidden Door has come crumbling down. WWE, AEW, and IMPACT Wrestling talking about each other and having superstars showing up on other promotions. I wanna see WWE and IMPACT Wrestling have a feud like how WWF had a feud with WCW and ECW. Imagine Roman Reigns, Bobby Lashley, Damien Priest, Shinsuke Nakamura, Alpha Academy, The Usos, Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Zelina Vega, and Carmella standing across the ring from IMPACT's champions.

The Iinspiration declined an invitation to be in the Rumble, and you can pretty much see it on their faces that they couldn't care less about the Rumble. I'm curious how they feel about Mickie being in the Rumble and how big a deal it has become. While I fully understand why they declined, it would have been cool to see Impact's Champion and Tag Champions represented in the Rumble.

They only declined because they had just been released from WWE and had just gotten to Impact. IT is a little patronizing to call them to come back soo soon after releasing them. Same for Nia Jax. Mickie, at least, had already been out for over 6 months by this point and she saw it as an opportunity to further her goal of inter-promotion cooperation.

Glad to hear Micki James invited back to WWE’s Royal Rumble again. Vince finally allowed some crossovers after ECW and SMW wrestlers years back. Idk if Micki can win the Rumble for a Women’s World title shot at WM but she’s making more enemies again.

I doubt mickie would win bc she on another promotion but wouldn’t it be cool she won as tna knockout champion going against wwe women’s champion at wrestlemania. That’s something new and I think a lot of people would love to see.
