I was a sound and light engineer in the 90s ..I was the in house tech at MOS for three years ..AWOL was there on a Thursday monthly and Micky Finn was a resident for them...and I used to funking love standing in the DJ booth when he was playing. I've always loved jungle from the get go and gotta say what always blew me away about Micky was his work as a producer...in fact I would go as far to say that there can't be anyone who has their name on as many big tunes as him...respect on his work rate and quality. Its funny but I saw a lot of snobbery about jungle back in the day ...but Micky Finn is definitely one of the if THE one dj that I loved working next to.
Best sets I ever saw, tapes I had etc, was Mickey Finn, hype, Kenny ken, top buzz& MC mad p, e.f.x. & MC pain, MC's spyda, bassman, trigga always smashed it, gq, mcmc, fearless, hyper d could smash it as well. Darren j, Nicky black market, ss, Andy c, Fabio, JJ frost, all smashing it too, plenty other dj's & MC's too but there my favourite's
The time has arrived for the now Grey One's to be knocking out some massively dirty sets. Makes me wonder what the care homes of 2040-50 will be like... Micky Finn, a true legend and a pioneer. I am a Grey One now and will be head noddin on my commode whilst taking a shit in my care home!
I'm 44 now and as far as I am concerned I am only half way through my life, I will still blast stuff like this out when I am 80 and more, in fact whoever attends my funeral had better make sure they have a nice spliff and a beer because it will get their heads nodding and put a big smile on their faces.

Hey, I just remembered a gig I went to if you’d in Dublin in 90’s. It was wicked. Why I remembered was because I was thinking of a really cool sound geyser called Chinese Paul. He’s no longer with us but he was really kind to me at one of the lowest ebbs in my life. Party on buddy xxx

In the 90's after rave and still going in the morning in birmingham. We all went back to my mates chinese takeaway was around 8am and we got Micky on and we're all skinning up relaxing and my mate said about the tune that was on " do you know what that is?".I said I think I recognize it. He said well you know the Prince tune purple rain at the very very end. Its that bit mixed.I said omg yeh but I've never been able to hear that ever again so if anyone out their can put me out of a 30 year misery would be 👍

Lots of love junglists! I have a strange search. Been on the search a long time. My sister had these awesome mix tapes she recorded off the radio. She used to dj them at our family gatherings. One track really stood out, it was jump up style Jungle. Had vocal samples from Hijack from their track "Style Wars", I looked it up! But just the last parts: "You know you can't compete, so you just stand and stammer Crushing your ego, I'm quite ferocious like a hammerhead shark Closing in for the kill Destructor of counterfeiting adversaries, they're just ill." The bass line was very much liking to the track "Bad Ass" by Micky Finn & Aphrodite track. But somehow, the lyrics above creeps in and out. I need that track again. Not sure if the dj then just mixed it in himself? Maybe this track doesn't really exsist but that it was just a free mix during a radio session? Thanks in advanced !! -Flower.

Jungle mixes are absolutely great, the DJ drops a banger that’s just an amen break, a reggae sample and a sinewave. Than the DJ says we are going to switch it up a litllllee wooo and drops an absolute banger that’s just an amen break, a reggae sample and a sinewave
