I've been messing around with my new BX v4.1 for over a month because of tail issues...newbie at setting a FBL system up. Really glad I found your video because I did what you suggested for a bigger helicopter onto my new Oxy3...and it now FLIES!!!! Thank you so much!!!!
I had to go into the parameters I had the tail sensor direction blue reversed then changed the tail torque to high normal & walla no tail hunting no wag. Thnx again DANA.
This is what I did to get perfect pre-set on the tail pitch. While in a hover, trim the rudder until the nose remains straight. With the heli OFF and on the bench, without disturbing the rudder trim settings or the pre-set blade pitch you just trimmed. Remove servo arm (leave tail rod connected). With servo arm removed and blade pitch preserve (With Duck tape or measurements), return the rudder trim on the transmitter back to center. Then, while threading the rod and arm together, adjust the length needed to achieve 90 degrees from the servo gear shaft. Then fasten it all together and remove your duck tape. You now have decent pre-torque. It’s a great starting point.
Hi Ray, Sorry for any confusion. Revomix and Tail Torque Precompensation are the same thing. The BeastX manual has Revomix in (Brackets) in the BeastX Manual, Parameter menu F
Hi nitro I got a new brush less motor 45 amp. And a new 40 amp speed controller. I installed it and it work but got really hot, and now I have no beeping sound from the esc. Any suggestions would be appreciated thank you. Did I burn the esc?
Hi Ray, Sorry, not meaning to bash your video, but please note that the Normal and Reverse settings in setup menu F (Tail sensor direction) and Parameter menu F (revomix) do not always match. Tonight I set about getting rid of the tail kick I was getting on my 250 DFC running a governed head speed. My Setup menu F is set to "reversed" (blue) but to get revomix to work correctly I found I had to choose the "High - Normal direction" (red). Choosing the High - "Reverse direction" (Blue) resulted in a much more pronounced tail kick than I had when I had revomix set to "off" (purple). Just thought you'd want to know that the two F menu settings don't always match. Keep up the great work!! Thanks!!
Great channel One question is normal ,when I turn on the beast and is all set up starting to compensate the opposite side I know that is right But is something wrong ,,, when I move the elevator, aileron just a tab the servo keeps moving all the way I didn’t want to take off with it thinking that not supposed to happen
Hi Ray I have a beast x 7200 & im getting a light tail wag I have the gain on trans set at 44-50% on the beast it's #3 gain setting it at factory setting. I have a torq bl9288 tail servo on trex 700dfc with working frequency 760ps/560hz everything is smooth except for this tail wag. What your thought on what takes to fix it. Thnx Dana.
Does the gain on the reciver need to be turned down or up the settings is in the middle in the middle of the reciver, the tail gain settings when turned down on the trans the wag was still there it's a slow wag ,or do I need to go back into the settings on the beast for the tail frequency settings ?
