Just have a look for a subject and then head out on a clear night. A mist filter helps with the night sky, gives it a nice glow.

Amazing! I recently bought Laowa 7.5mm f/2.0 - can`t wait to enjoy some night photography. But question - why didn`t you use Live Time/Bulb/Composite? It`s much easier that way to properly light up foreground and see, when it`s enough to iluminate it.

I don’t really have an answer for why I don’t use them modes. I know that they are there, I guess it’s just force of habit.

You were very brave going down there in the dark, I tripped and broke one of nd filters there . shame the aroura was,nt out for you .

It really was a lot darker down there than I expected it to be. Fortunately night light is quite bright at 100% and I could just about see. The rocks are a pain to walk over aren’t they.
