Hi, I have recently bought one of these hubs... I can clearly remember the first time I connected my Tab simultaneous charging and OTG worked when I connected my HDD...but since changing modes to OTG and charging it is not the same anymore. Now only charge or usb host works. What may be the problem? Another question is if the tab doesn't support this then is there any way I can tweak it to support simulataneous charge/OTG? My tab is Ployer MOMO8W dual OS .It has Windows 8.1 and android 4.4

I have redmi note 3!! if i connect a 2 tb hard disk in charge mode with a power bank or wall charger will my phone be able to detect hard disk as it does not directly when connected through otg!! i am not concerned about charging if it can make hard disk work!!
I'm not sure. Never tried it. The USB hub itself has losses. If you connect a 1amp charger, it may deliver at best 600 or 700 mA to the phone/other devices. So the charger you connect(if you are trying) should be able to power the harddisk after the losses in the hub. If you are not concerned about charging, why use the hub? Get 1) OTG cable 2) Y cable for hard disk. Y cable has two usb male plugs, one can be connected to the phone(OTG) and the second one can be connected to the power bank.
