The Microfreak did not come with effects , so always good to have some pedals around , the most useful would be a good delay , and a good reverb , there are plenty to choose from , including multi effects ect , I personally you mostly boss pedals , but recently been playing with the zoom z4n 4 track portable recorder as it as loads of built in effects , with a adjustable user bank , plus the bonus of recording, great to see someone else is experimenting with sound …thx
Great video man. If I could ask for a little help from you; what cables do you need, just regular instrument cables? And does it go from the CV out? Also, how are you amplifying it? Plugged into an amp, or into an audio interface? This is going to be my first synth. I have a midi keyboard ready to control it too. It's going to be sooo fun.
Just using the audio out on the Microfreak and regular short instrument cables between all the pedals. Then into my audio interface. The keyboard is touch and pressure sensitive too, so you actually don’t need another midi keyboard unless you really want a bigger keybed and/or normal style keys
