The micro was really beautiful. Well played by red.

Thanks for reviewing my game! I know some people maybe a little heated about the one turn win but that is the strategy I mostly follow with Giant's. For sure that was a well placed Ion Blast. Many players setup Tarantula's forward at the start, even in front of chaff, that's why the stormcallers for round 1. GG Aggro!

Ignoring overlord spamm for 3 turns is wild

Kiting away from a Worm with a Melter is actually a double edged sword. It'll cause the Worm to constantly dig and reset the Melter.

Yes, I typically don't do this, was trying to get more chaff up but just didn't seem worth it so sold the Melter.

Not a big fan of these instant massive 3k+ damage turnarounds due to a single damage ability. Especially with that ion blast being unavoidable in this specific situation. Aggro played this one better

Ion blast is my least favorite active. It is just too swingy

While I agree, every turn past like round 6 or 7 can be lethal, and this swingy. Aggro had almost no anti air and the opponent exploited that.

@@Jakubanakin lacking for sure but far from a critical mistake. he only received 3k damage due to the ion blast deleting nearly his entire army including 2 lvl2 farseers and an overlord

Dont really agree, agro player could also have used ion beam, knowing the path his opponent is kiting. He also didnt use oil, which would have been devastating at any turn.

@@scatterlite2266 that's kinda the point of the game isn't it? One well placed wulcan can delete chaff protecting your carry units that now get targeted and destroyed. He could have shielded, he could have ioned the enemy as he was bunched up as well.

Technically, when you take Efficient Tech Research you actually don't break even until FOUR upgrades and don't start to profit until five, because as well as having to pay 150 for it, you're passing up the option to simply Skip for +50 instead. I think some of these upgrades really need a bit of a buff because they're just too hard to justify in too many cases. Maybe Efficient Tech Research would be better if it reduced the tech cost scaling penalty from 200 per existing tech to 100, or even just 150 (so a second tech on a single unit would only cost 150 more, a 3rd would only cost 300 more instead of 400, and the 4th tech would only cost +450 instead of +600- this would also obviously require the Research itself to cost less). You rarely ever see fully-teched units because the cost scaling is so harsh, even when a player has a full carry army of them, which I feel is a missed opportunity.

card costs 100 so 150 for breaking even is correct if you consider skip to be the default, I do feel like it's kinda underpowered though. Don't know why they increased the cost to 100 from 50, I think 50 cost is perfect.

@@zeorydan7613 You're right, why did I think it was 150?
@stoneymechabellum

I think it's in a decent place. The card is all about sacrificing tempo NOW for a tempo boost LATER. I like it when playing carry tanks so I can double tech one round and start to out level my opponent after the next round
