Why are all the "aesthetic influencers" so in love with these wasteful one-time-use little face towel tablets and the disposable heart shaped tiny sponges? Please get some reusable makeup removing cloths. A little micellar water turns them instant makeup removing wipes. Wash and reuse.
Right?! and the whip maker is also totally unnecessary 🙈🙈the sponges are actually re-usable I bought them because of an impulse and do use them for a week before taking a new one However I wont buy another package because it’s F…ing unnecessary 🤣🤦🏼♀️
@@alishinan your hands, the Tool you are using and the skincare you put on has to be "sterile". The other things don't need to be. which by the way nothing here was actually sterile, it was maybe hygienic, Not sterile.
The preparation for this was so wasteful… single use preparation such as towelettes and alcohol wipes are not good to discard (they end up in landfills) when you can put isopropyl alcohol on a reusable towel, along with using reusable towels instead on single use towelettes. I get if it’s a one time thing, but for a routine… it’s a no for me
If you need to be sterile (which you do w micro needling, those single uses are preferred bc paper Towels are not sterile. I'm sure there are alternative options but that's not one of them
It's absolutely fine and enough to just clean your skin and use moisturizer. Too much skincare can actually harm you skin, especially if you use straight up alcohol on your skin like she does. The salmon DNA is just straight up confusing and unnecessary.
@@Azure1_Allena1 and once your skin gets used to 20 products every morning and evening, it's gonna get much much worse as soon as you stop using them (which I would bet most people can't keep up for long in a normal life, I certainly wouldn't put on 20 products before work)
So it looks like this is just her routine for before she micro-needles her skin which I believe is monthly. She just needs the alcohol pads and gloves to maintain a sterile environment for the needling. The salmon DNA is an ampoule that has good properties for the skin like reducing inflammation and such. Although I don’t doubt that she’s probably one of those daily 10 step skincare routine people lol
@@emsa5034 Mine has a fair amount of steps, but it's simple as I only do it twice a week. [Mask (once a week) > cleanse > serum > eye cream > moisturize > lip scrub > lip balm]
I use alcohol pad for my skin as part of my skin care everyday. It's actually only thing that helps me with pimples. Alcohol is okay for certain skin types I guess. My face is not dry at all and I have no wrinkles either.

@@xianxiannn it probably is a little painful judging by how red her skin got and how delicate facial skin truly is. In the long run it probably has a post-burning sensation but it probably doesn’t last long. Hope this helps
i assume she’s doing it so the salmon dna absorbs better?? which doesn’t make a lot of sense to me since it’s microneedling. so maybe it’s instead trying to make her skin sterile, which also doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. idk.
What I'm about to say isn't exclusively directed at this particular girl, but instead, everyone who buys and uses tools designed for “at-home spa treatments.” There are numerous reasons why aestheticians go through schooling to become licensed and trained to not only do typical non-abrasive spa treatments but perform abrasive treatments on the skin, as well, such as microdermabrasion, micro-needling, chemical peels, etc. I understand that going to the spa to get a skin treatment is a luxury for many people, so it becomes tempting to cut out the “middle man,” so to speak *[i.e., the licensed aesthetician],* and buy tools like the one used in this video clip to do it yourself, as opposed to going into the spa for repeat sessions-I get it. However, following the directions pamphlet for a tool like this is not only not as thorough as someone educated, trained, licensed, and qualified to perform these types of treatments, which includes a detailed aftercare regimen given to clients, but you are also taking *significant* risks by doing these types of treatments on yourself. It’s sad/unfortunate to see tools like this become increasingly popular with distributors/companies and thus in the hands of anybody and everybody. There are people who went to school to make their living as aestheticians working in spas. Not only do things like this become incredibly harmful in the hands of just the average consumer, but the more and more people buy them, the more and more it takes away from the people who should be the only ones conducting these types of treatments on others. If you want a more affordable option over going to established spas, check out your nearest cosmetology/aesthetics *[it has to have an aesthetics program]* school to book an appointment with a more trained and staff-recommended student, which will be cheaper than treatments done in a spa. I can't make anyone do anything. However, don't let what I just expressed fall on deaf ears-this is your skin we’re talking about. It’s even more baffling when people who have the money to get regular spa treatments from those whose job it is to perform them opt for doing it themselves because it means “I don't have to go anywhere, plus I also know what I'm doing” *[aka, cockiness].*
Fractional laser is amazing! I just had some minor acne scars that Microneedling can get rid of without the downtown of fractional ☺️ I def recommend getting Microneedling with a professional 💗
The one use washcloths will always make me upset... just reuse and wash... please... im not a person who is like "save the planet!" More like "save your money!" Even tho im sure she makes at least ten times more than i do... a nice washcloth would be better imo
@user-xc3xv6gt1o then she should get new clothes every day too if thats the logic because laundry detergent also doesn't get rid of everything and touches our skin. There are products out there made for those with sensitive skin to wash materials, there are many many many people who need those so... it exists. So I still so no reason for not needing reusable washcloths lol.
I really don't believe we need all these 🤔 I have done a normal skin care routine all my life. I just go to the dermatologist once per year so they can change the product according to the necessities of your skin through years
@persephrotisv.2655 I'm just saying it cause probably a 16 year old girl can think this is ok for everyone and believe this is necessary when it's not ... I'm in my 40s, and I guarantee not everyone needs too many steps in their skincare routine

nice. but that first sponge is waaaay too scrubby/too much peeling/exfoliating. u do wash ur face like this every day, u destroy ur natural barrier pretty good and ur skin will be dependent on a ton of products forever (have fun aging)
For everyone talking about the salmon DNA: when you look it up on google it says that it CAN help repair your skin. Look, I get that it sounds extremely weird but as someone who has grown up in a house with people who will use the most random stuff that I never thought would help something; when I first saw the Salmon DNA I immediately assumed that it was possibly good for your skin. Sometimes natural ingredients are better for us than all of this processed sh*t we buy and scrub on our faces.
I don't normally comment on stuff like this because it pushes it into more people's feed but this is is.... This is too much. This is so much. Nobody needs this. This is insane to be showing as though any typical person can do this and be you/look like you. You're living on an entirely different planet.

My high maintenance routine are laser treatments. It allows me to skip makeup when going out because my skin is flawless. Just sunscreen and I am all set.
Guys!! You don’t need all this stuff for a self care routine. Girls on RU-vid shorts and TikTok have such long routines because being a beauty influencer is their job! A self care routine doesn’t need salmon dna and a bunch of unnecessary things like the towel tablets.
Maybe she’s certified to do this, but please do not think that micro needling at home is normal. This is an invasive procedure and should be done in a sterile environment.
I know people in the comments are mad about this “being wasteful”, but this has genuinely almost no impact on the environment. The majority of waste comes from corporations and their activities, which are much more major in comparison to some wipes. Remember: you could recycle for the rest of your life and it would barely help the planet.
