I had one too they are hard to keep alive. Their skin is so transparent that you can see their stomach fill up. I name mine Nicky. He was a deer mouse. No antlers but the same color tones. Miss him.

I did the same thing a few years back. I work as a bridge construction inspector and found three baby mice on my job. Their Mother was dead. I kept them with me all day on the job, caring for them and cared for them at home as well. The men also brought me a hummingbird. Did the same thing with her.

I’ve been taking care of my orphan mouse for about a week now ❤️ feeding every 2 hours and helping him go potty. it’s so amazing how much LIFE is in such a little package! I absolutely love gustavs story and hope my little bean can grow up as happy and strong as him! Thanks for sharing!

When I was in grad school, I had a lab rat. At the end of the study I was told that all of the rats would be "sacrificed." I had developed a relationship with my rat, who I called, "Max." I took him home with me and enjoyed his company. He was sit on my shoulder, and often run around but come when I called. He was very friendly with guests and loved to hang out, eat Cheetos, and get head rubs. He was very smart, and learned tricks.

We had mice that when we bought one, she was pregnant, and did that thing you're not supposed to do, but when the babies were old enough, we let them loose in the wild (awful I know, but there were so. many.) Fast forward a few months, I'm outside feeding the rabbit, and one of the mice got into her hutch, and lived there until his death. They were best buds. I named him Mr. Wiggles because it was all he did.

I’m the biggest animal lover ever I had recently just rescued a baby vole my cat had brought it in and injured it at first we thought it was dead but it turned up alive I fead it and kept it warm but it seemed to just be to I’ll so I’m afraid it passed away the next day I cried for ages even though I had only known it for a small amount of time I always think that I could’ve done more to save it I’m just glad that I made its final moments happy and it died in a safe and warm environment

wow, this takes some special skills and a calm hand. i just found a rat this year on the streets, a color rat, not a wild street rat and took him in, took care for him. but this here is a whole new level, respect you can be proud of your work !

When I was a kid a pet store let me take home a little butterscotch colored feeder mouse that was not thriving. Well named her Tabitha and for two and a half years she was my best buddy one of the oldest mice ever. Ended up with arthritis and a kinky tail. Got to travel from Denver to Seattle and back again. She was pretty awesome Mouse.

When I was with my ex girlfriend, we had 5 mice, one day, one of the cats managed to knock their cage off the table they were on... (not sure how this happened, cats weren't meant to be able to get into that room) We came home from work, the cage was in peices, one of the mice was hiding inside the broken cage, three were missing and we found one dead. We assumed the missing ones were eaten, because there were nine cats and 6 dogs in the house. Fast-forward about three months, my ex was laying on the bed, when she heard some scratching... She pulled the bed to the side ever so slightly. Right down below our bed near the wall, was one of the mice, he had made a small nest out of random scrap, and had peices of dog food from the dog bowl downstairs! This little warrior mouse had managed to survive three months in a house with nine cats and six dogs! Somehow managing to get peices of dog food from the kitchen all the way up to our bedroom. Needless to say, we quickly recaptured him, (he let us pick him up with no fuss) and put him back into his cage with his sister. They seemed very happy to see each other. I don't know the rest of their story as I left my ex girlfriend, let's just say, her obsessions with animals was manic to the point of destructive. To be with her you had to be rich or not mind living in perpetual poverty. It wasn't a healthy way to live. Plus, after all I sacrificed to be with her for five years, she cheated on me. In a way I'm glad she did, because it gave me enough fire to have the strength to leave her.

She is a wonderful mouse mom and l think her enthusiasm is shared by her very little son. We had a rat named Squiddle years ago. My grandkids loved him. He had a nice life but nowhere near as great as this little guy's life.
