How much is Microsoft 365 Copilot going to cost? Today we got the answer, and it was an answer that is very different to what I had predicted ahead of time.

Were you surprised by the price of Microsoft 365 Copilot that was announced? Will this change your purchasing decisions, or are you still just amazed by the potential of this product?

I have been excited about this coming out and hopefully they do a trial version so I can have a go before committing. As a small business $30 (which is actually going to be about NZ$45 ish) per user is quite expensive!

I really wanted to make use of it for my NGO, but yesterday I announced that 30 per month meant DOA as it also means that NGO pricing will be way too high. Looking for alternatives now. Damn you, Microsoft.

I’m not making any more predictions about pricing but it seems likely MS will discount this for non-profits or similar organizations. M365 Business Premium is already very heavily discounted so getting the base license in place is cheap. The question comes down to how much extra productivity is M365 Copilot going to deliver? We don’t yet know but we can expect it’s fairly high based on the pricing. Thanks for watching the video.

@@brightideasagency Thanks! Yup, let's see what's coming. They know that MS customers want this as it'll improve things by a lot when using Outlook, Office etc. combined. As a Nineties kid I can only be amazed about what's happening with AI lol

I mean GPT Plus already costs $20 per month and offers none of the power you get with CoPilot.

True. But the customer targeting for ChatGPT Plus is very different than Microsoft 365 commercial services.

From the little I've seen so far, Copilot looks fantastic. However, at $30 it's going to be a hard sell to our Clients for us Partners. Do you know if Partners are going to get access via IUR for us to fully evaluate and help with the sell?

I agree. I think it's going to be an even harder sell as the largely democratizing force it has been described as up until now. On your question, I've been looking out for this sort of information through the Inspire sessions I've attended, and right now I have no relevant information applying to Copilot.
