I've had MS365 Copilot for a solid week and I'm never going back.. the teams summary stunning

Good the hear, Brent. I agree, the Teams integration is the killer feature - kind of like having a very capable admin assistant on the call with you that doesn't forget stuff (so you can carry on asking it after the call) and is way cheaper. I kind of wish they had just released it in waves, or included Teams Copilot as part of Intelligent Recap, as Copilot (being good), really shows up where Intelligent Recap shoulda, woulda, coulda been 👍 P.S. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment - really appreciate it 🤗

I figured out you have to log out of your Microsoft account and log back in for every app (Word, Excel etc) before it appears.

Glad that worked for you, did for some apps for me but not all 👍

Thank you for this video, it reflects my experience exactly. I hope that we will get an improvement soon. What I am using now is not particularly helpful and not suitable for professional use

Thanks for taking the time to reply here and on LinkedIn, Ralf - I appreciate it. For completeness for my RU-vidr viewers, here is the same reply 🤗 apart from in Teams, where it is genuinely useful and way better than Intelligent recap, it feels like a paid beta. I wouldn't even mind being in a paid beta if that's what it was marketed as... but it isn't 🤷

If you add a license for a user or two, do only those two users get the copilot icon? Or is it one of those things that once you buy a license now all the other users see the icon but then get an error that they don't have that feature when they click on it?
@MeeTime
@MeeTime 7 месяцев назад
99% sure the former - they won't see the icon if they don't have a licence assigned. More likely you have the opposite problem of paying for a licence and no clear way of making the copilot icon appear in every app without whichcraft, magic and a patience 😆

It's sadly not up to the usefulness of GPT-4 and most of the functions keep failing. Hugely frustrating, but hopefully it will improve in the next few weeks???

I hope so, Andy. On the surface the idea makes sense - why jump out to another app to copy and paste text, when Copilot can do requests in the app... but the implementation is lacking. In my last meeting today Copilot refuses to work, it just says next time record and transcribe your meeting so copilot can work, even though I am looking at the meeting recording and transcription 🤷

Any improvement yet? I requested a few things today and the "computer said no" @@MeeTime

Figures, Microsoft fumbles everything except for marketing hype. Even the use case scenarios in their demonstrations range between useless and a one time novelty trick. The potential is certainly there but, in true Microsoft form, they appear to have fumbled the implementation. The Teams meeting notes feature sounds okay in theory but I’d frankly prefer to take notes myself to ensure it’s concise and highly accurate. I could have sworn Copilot Studio was included with Copilot for M365 but leave it to MS to change their SKUs as often as their branding. Good grief.

Thanks for taking the time to comment, George. All my hardware is Apple, and so I always think, would Apple have released this product. Obviously they always do things later than most others, but also it usually just works and is ready for mass market. M365 Copilot feels like a paid beta at the moment, and simply branding it as much may help the expectations (when I just gave Outlook copilot coach a thumbs down it asked if it could send a screenshot to Microsoft... er, who's paying who?) I also like handwritten notes (albeit on an iPad with Apple pencil) but I must say that Teams Copilot really was a valuable addition to these - picking up stuff I'd missed and seems like it really understood the conversation to be able to pull out things that I might have not considered - kind of like having another colleague in the meeting with you and chatting about the meeting afterwards to compare notes - worth a go I think. Have you tried Copilot yet or do you think you will give it a try yet, if not?

@@MeeTimeWe will likely adopt it to at least a small extent to see if we find value. The use cases thus far sound pretty silly (e.g., changing a font in a PPT), so I anticipate a collective “Meh” once tried. And yeah, the comment about a paid beta is fitting. I was quoted an even higher price from MS when I inquired about joining their early access program. That boggles my mind - they were charging MORE for companies to partake in an EARLIER beta. And is it any wonder that trials aren’t available? At least they eliminated the minimum purchase of 300 licenses. I agree. Apple will swoop in and deliver a truly useful AI product at some point, even if it’s not in the same space as Copilot. Rumor has it that Siri AI may come out in ‘24. Now that will be interesting.

@@georgewashington3012 I do wonder if they struggled with uptake from Enterprise with 300 licences. Amusingly, there is no monthly option for individual licences, only annual - I think cancellations would be relatively high if they didn't have this stipulation. Siri AI - desperately needed, especially for my Homepod. I don't know why but I still love Apple, even when Siri gets it wrong, bless her 😆
