Some of their security issues are rookie moves and I’m someone who has a 4 letter password and never fixes their identity theft. I’m not sure I understand the problem here. Interlocking boards, with voting members, isn’t something new among very large companies. In this case, the boards aren’t even interlocking. OpenAI doesn’t have members on Apple and Microsoft’s boards. They don’t vote, and I think this is a made up problem. If ChatGPT was the only LLM,out there, maybe there could be a case, but there isn’t now, and there will be more later.

Can you imagine what it would look like if Apple & Microsoft joined forces? What an unimaginable powerhouse. In a good way. That would truely fast forward the AI revolution.
Both of those companies have had actions taken against them for creating and abusing monopoly positions. You really think, those two conglomerates would be 'good' for the sector.

There is no area in which their products, hardware, software or services constitutes monopoly percentages. It’s not like when Microsoft was sued for this with a 90%+ part of the worldwide market for Windows. And they were never sued for Office’s 95% of the market.
