This was very comprehensive. Will be useful for many looking to make that decision on whether or not to get an iPad Pro instead of a new MacBook Pro. Great job!
This was very helpful to me! Just replaced my macbook air for an iPad Pro 2020 11 inches. Still having difficulties adjusting but I hope I get used to it already because I have a tiny bit of regret of not getting a macbook.
Thank you sir, It was very great exhaustive session with you, regards. If I have any doubt in future I will come back to you sir. I am a daily user of excel sheet.
Hello, thanks for your video! How do I select multiple cells with out selecting all cells? In non mac computers all you do is hold “Ctrl” and then select the multiple items. Does the Magic Keyboard for IPad Pro not allow you to do this?
Thank you very much for this see i am planning on buying an iPad for school and work instead of a MacBook all I needed was to know that excel could be used good enough in an iPad
Amazing video, love the detail of topics so I can find what I want to know straight away. I have one question, if there are functions inactive (greyed out) how do I activate them? I can only find videos on how to do that on regular excel versions not on the iPad where there is no ‘file’ button or ‘settings’. How does that work on the iPad version? Tia
Great video, very useful. Could you explain how I select multiple objects so as to group them without an Apple Pencil please? IE if I draw 2 different sized boxes and I want them joined to make one object. Cheers ad thanks in advance.
Hey BbB.... 1. how do you open a new excel file while working on another excel file..... 2. How do you have multiple excel files open in the tray/ dock
Having multiple excel files isn’t currently supported. The possibility has been given by Apple, but it’s up to app developers to support it, which Microsoft hasn’t done yet.
Very useful video, thanks a lot! Please try to make a quick tutorial to work with multiple excels with Vlookup and moving sheets and data etc. Would be a great help.
Maybe Microsoft is working on it! They’ve just announced to be working on multi-window support for Word and PowerPoint, no mention of Excel though. But hopefully they release it later on, maybe it’s more complicated to optimize Excel. blog-insider.office.com/2020/04/29/open-multiple-documents-in-word-powerpoint-on-ipados/ check it out!
Thanks a lot for the tutorial. How to add superlink to a cell to link with a local stored file? Specifically I don't know how to find the address of the local file and put into the address box.
Is there anyway to select multiple cells that are not linear? meaning they are not next to each other? In Mac it is done by selecting command and clicking the cells required. is there any similar function with excel on iPad?
@@drewblomberg869 I eventually found a way to workaround. I hid all of the rows and columns I didn’t need until I was left with the data I needed. A bit long winded but I got the result I wanted.
Thank you , I have one query, Is it posibble that some excel spreadsheet with formula working properly in windows laptop but not working in Ipad or giving undesirable output of formulas ?
great video very interesting, help. how do i select different non-adjacent cells? on the mac I use cmd and ctrl on windows but here on ipad with magic keyboard the cmd key does not work. thanks if you can help me
Great video, However What I am having trouble with is formatting different text within the same cell. for example one cell having two words or sentences and each word or sentence being a different color or font size. It is actually necessary for a schedule I make for work and I cant seem to do it on the iPad. works fine on my desktop. It is the only thing stopping me from being able to use my iPad as my mobile working device.
On desktop version you can take a sheet from one workbook and drag and drop it into another workbook. How do you merge one sheet to another workbook on the iPad?
Are you able to perform page break? The page layout seems like a deal breaker to me now. I am working on the ipad 8gen everything is so good just that it can’t do the full fetched service from excel.
Hey! Great vid. I’m going to uni this year and I’d be studying Finance. My program involves some mid-level excel use. So I wanted to know if the iPad Pro 2020 (with the magic keyboard) could handle the workload.
Good luck at uni! Excel on the iPad is very capable, however it’s worth testing first before you rely on the iPad alone. Things like macros are not supported.
Hello! I have a problem and hope you have the solution. I handwritten some notes on an existing excel sheet template, and I want to export it into PDF. However, when I try to export into PDF on my ipad, it exported without my handwritten notes. I can only export the template with the notes on my laptop. Any idea how to fix this? Appreciate your help!
I believe I am using a new version of excel on office 365. Some of the ribbons/quick access toolbar are different, like merge cell is not in the ribbons. how do you change them? Thanks
I am using IPad Pro 2020 with IOS 15 and the current version of MS Office. Previously used MacBook and for the life of me cannot find how to view/amend/insert headers and footers. Am I now just too stupid ? Any advice would be really really useful
I didn’t find/see/hear how to expend a column. I have dates I enter in a column and then recreate them for the next month. I highlight the few sequential dates and wish to drag down to create the rest of the column needed. The directions online I’ve found tell me to highlight the cells I’ve made, tap fill and I’m to get tiny boxes to extend the rows or columns. These little arrow boxes never appear. Help?
Thanks a lot. Do you know if there is a way to print with a printer that isn’t AirPrint compatible? I find printing options very limited. One can’t really scale or format, that’s confusing given that the rest of the app works so well.
