I’m not critiquing your flying but just wanted to offer a tip. When taking off from a high altitude airport (Flagstaff 7000ft) adjust your mixture BEFORE taking off. Did you notice that when you adjusted your mixture after taking off that your engine speed increased? You took off with the mixture at full rich and the engine did not have full power. At a high altitude airport while on the ground and stopped run up the engine and then start leaning the mixture. Listen for the increase in engine speed and then stop leaning when you notice either the RPMs drop or the engine speed decrease. Take off with the mixture at that setting because it will give you the best engine performance at that altitude. Also when landing at a high altitude airport do not go to full rich as you did approaching Sedona (4800ft). Remember at high altitude airports the air is thinner so full rich isn’t going to give you a proper air/fuel mixture for maximum performance. Keep up the good videos!

Sorry, noob question - does that mean you angle the joystick into the wind or away from its direction of travel?

@@kokoeteantigha389 you'll want to angle the stick into the wind. The idea is that you are protecting from having the upwind wing picked up by a gust. When you start your roll you have full correction in and then as the ailerons become effective you start to take it out until you lift off with just the required input. It's an aquired skill but an important one.

Great video, nice job. Haven’t flown the Bonanza yet but will make it my next mission. Didn’t catch the developer of the external light mod. Here’s a travel tip, after shutdown I got into the habit of checking that all the trim settings were in the takeoff range. Don’t ask why.😊

@@OverkillSimulations Haha…here goes…used to have a 59 C182. Great airplane but notoriously nose heavy and with just me would land with full nose up trim, conscious of the implications in a go-around. My next takeoff was exciting for the first few seconds as I missed the elevator trim on the before takeoff check. My mind may have lost some edge in my old age but my reflexes are like a cat.

How do you have the rudder working. When I get about 1/2 mph the rudder locks in at center. I have to use brakes to turn. I also only have one lively. I don't know why I can't use the other Asobo G36 plnes.

Has anyone noticed that after update 10, the G1000 MFD shows a broken flight plan shortly after takeoff ? The plan I initially generate on the world page does not show this. It seems to introduce two erroneous way points which when deleted seems to correct the problem.

The default glass is now G1000 NXi. You can get it from the Marketplace free.

Taxiing around was a lot like demolition derby wasn't it!!! They're all over the field! I've always wanted to try a Verpil joystick and throttle for il2. It would be great for a whole lot of reasons! Do you have a link to That app you mentioned that improves lighting? Or even just the name? Thank you!I also really enjoy this improvement mod!

Hello! Can you share how do you move the camera around? What keystrokes you use... I've tried but I can't move like that in the cockpit. I know you use head tracker, but sometimes I feel it is not head tracker...

You can use the arrow keys to move around. There are also the CTRL + number to switch between the instruments quick views. Then you can save custom views by setting the camera as you like and pressing CTRL + ALT + number and then accessing a view with ALT + number.

What is your reference to set your mixture? I always take a look at the engine lean tab in the G1000 and dial it in to the highest number i can get, but i don't know if that's the correct way?
