I had to see the heat effects in the dark so into the I night went :D - almost looked like a spaceship once the pacific ocean disappeared in the black!!
Overshoot Wake island even though I pulled the Scramjet 100 NM before arriving..
Had some feedback on my landings recently and attempted a slow landing this time, but stalled the aircraft ( around 120 knots ), managed to recover and made a fast landing instead, this time with a bounce.. I'll get better ;)

I’d love to see something like this in real life!

Just have to wait for Lockheed to declassify the SR-72!

That was a really nice landing after saving it from that crazy stall.

Hahah thanks man and now we know at what speed it stalls :D

This demonstration stands out because of the night flight. It missed a fly-by. To watch a night fly-by would be bliss!! Thank you.

Flying this plane at night must be one of the best experiences a pilot can have. I know it was made for the movie, but with so much detail and attention...and made by the Lockheed-Martin's Skunk Works themselves...I can't help but wonder that they've incorporated a lot of real-life technical details in this plane that are in use in other secret projects. Who knows...the SR-72 'Son of Blackbird' may be flying on missions already. I wish hypersonic commercial flights was already a thing. To be in the other side of the world in just a couple hours tops...it would be EPIC! Stellar video, thanks a lot! 👏‍

I totally agree and there's a few very exciting technologies just on the cusp of becoming real! - the upcoming Space X spaceship sounds like it could be the hypersonic commercial flight you're looking for, but tickets will probably be as expensive as the Concorde was back in its day.. The single stage to orbit using Scramjets are also quite exciting - perhaps even allowing for cheaper air launched space vehicles to be realised, sort of what Virgin Galactic are doing but in low orbit or Dreamchaser that become gliders on entry.. Exciting times to be alive :)

Technically it's either Hickam AFB or Daniel K Inoyue airport. Used To be stationed at Schofield. Hickam and Inoyue are connected, whenever you land at Honolulu you can see F-16,C-17,C-130, F-22 in their hangers.

Thank you for your service sir! - Would have loved to study the F-22 up close, we only have F-16's around here :)

@@WitusWorks you can usually see two of them parked. You hang around the industrial port area inbetween Pearl City and Honolulu you can see them sometimes. Surprisingly, you're not likely to see or hear them from anywhere else. I mean it's possible but unlikely. Not sure how often they flew too. But living on Oahu for 3 years I didn't see them a lot. But then again Schofield is an army base in the center of the island, and generally I went downtown to Honolulu on the weekends when the pilots were probably downtown too lol

@@mailman35419 Nice, I was army as well - mortar man ;) - Hawaii must have been a great place to be stationed? - I'm pretty sure the F-22 still is the best air superiority fighter in service, it makes sense to have a 2 ship on stand by and visible in the middle of the pacific!

@@WitusWorks mortar man ey? Im artillery lol! Hawaii was an incredible duty station. I miss it so damn much. I'd go back. Even the field in Hawaii wasn't bad. There was a big training range on big island we'd use. Would take it over NTC or JRTC any day.

@@mailman35419 So 155mm Howitzers or? - I'm a Dane so slightly different setup here - I was mortar spotter for the 120mm heavies, so I usually rode with the M113 company on exercises in Denmark, but tried MBT's a couple of times since they were missing a loader on the dozer tank, that was fun! - hard to call in mortar fire from though :D

I do wonder what that would look like from the ground, if we can see it at all with our mark 1 eyeballs.

when using the cockpit ui for landing make sure the vector symbol is on the runway

Thanks ;) - I'm aware how the flight path marker works - The Darkstar handles pretty sluggish at low speed and I haven't given it the time to find "the sweet spot" - here's proof that I actually can land things in a tidy fashion :D ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VVNisf3aMAQ.html

Hmmm try pulling up above 180 knots when taking off and landing between 160 and 130 knots ( it stalls without warning around 120 )
