Great advice! You know me...i have done this every 3-4 months since day one and i very rarely have problems. Just did it yesterday and my load times are incredibly fast! No black screens, no stutters, no CTD's and the detail is absolutely stunning! My ground textures are also spectacular! We pick up corruption along the way, and this helps with that.
@@QuantumGamingUploads I suppose thats why I do it so often. Only takes about 10 minutes to install the game, and then about 2 hours for the add ons. Although I have roughly 900 add-ons including scenery, airports, aircraft, and all the misc ones, I only put 1/3, (about 300), on the hard drive to keep things fast. My load times from the very beginning of turning on the system until flytime used to consist of about 5 minutes. Now once I reinstalled it, my entire load time is about 90 seconds. Man...my ground textures look fantastic! At least in Southern California where I fly 90% of the time.
Thank you Quantum! I followed your advice by deleting (uninstalling) everything allowed from the MSFS Content Menu. Then Quit MSFS and Restart XboxX, then Restart MSFS and Reinstall Deluxe & Premium. Then Reinstall the Maps you want to fly. Then Reinstall the Plane to fly and then Quit MSFS and Restart XboxX. Then Start MSFS and fly on your Map. I've gone from West USA Server @ 5MBits/sec to 200MBits/sec on my 400MB/s Subscription without needing to use an Internet VPN on my old Windows 7 laptop. Thank you Quantum!
I had my doubts. I swore up and down that SU15 **wasn't** going to change anything, but .......this is the best the Sim has ever been. Yes, I'm willing to accept the compromise of horrid LoD, but it'll hold me over until FS '24.
From the Beta we had big problems so having those ? is normal for how Sim 15 was going to be. It's been decent for me as well appart from some black screens in dense areas. When servers stabilise the sim will look and perform much better. It will hold us until the 2024 version definetly.
Might want to remind folks that after re-installing, they also have to install the Microsoft Flight Simulator Add-On Support, which is done from outside of the sim. I believe it is mainly for WASM support, but I noticed a huge difference in ground texture detail before and after installing it on my series S. I still have weapons for the F-14 on my series X so not interested in doing a re-install there at the moment to compare it.
I think the add on support one came automatically installed when I re installed the sim. The boxes ticked automatically but yeah must check that just in case. Had to give up on those weapons as overall performance seemed more important.
@@QuantumGamingUploads I would have thought it would be automatic as well, and maybe for most it is, but in my case I had to re-install it manually after re-installing the sim. As soon as I tried the Air Show Assistant from Touching Cloud, it gave me a message that it wasn't installed.
I just deleted the cache file and all was OK. Before I had many problems, most with loading airliners. Re-install does the same, but it takes a few hours more…😉
Had a lot of issues on my Series S that stopped me playing the sim. Random crashes, runway lights during nighttime appearing in the sky, DLC planes not working properly.. so many things I’ll do this and see if there are any improvements!
Did exactly this yesterday. Tried the sim with and without any DLC. The ground textures and detail is still appalling. It’s making me not want to play at the moment tbh. Hope you are doing well Quantum.
Hello man all good thanks. Hope you are doing alright as well. Hopefully the terrain data will settle in very soon as servers not working right and super busy now. Hopefully in a week or two it will look at its best. Without dlc yeah its not that appealing in most places. I just hope 2024 version changes that stuff radically.
How did you do it with all those add-ons, not only from airplanes but also from other small airports, Birds, traffic. were you able to get them all back?
They are on my account so can install them anytime I want. Uninstall and Install. They are all in the Content Manager. Just install them again after installing the sim.
I am really annoyed with ASOBO for a *VERY* long time I have complained and campaigned that they need to update their DEFAULT A320neo the MCDU needs to start calculating the distance to miles and LIVE EFOB. The centre fuel tank emptying making the engine cut out mid flight and COLD AND DARK START UP APU stopping at 8% unless fuel tanks are manually turned on at the start. But they ignore - I wonder how A320neo ASOBO will be in MSFS 2024............
Yeah asking them to get something done it's a long process especially with details like that. I hope MSFS2024 turns the page and gets everything right.
I’m gonna try that this week! Probably tomorrow cuz this week I am planning on hopefully getting the Bravo Airspace 787-8 just for Xbox since I don’t have the PC premium Deluxe version which is fine! As long as I have it for Xbox, that’s more important
@@QuantumGamingUploads haven’t had to do that with any other game in my life. If ASOBO knew what they were doing, and did their job as a developer, we wouldn’t have to do a million things just to make the game run. I appreciate your effort and your guidance. All the RU-vidrs part of this community is doing an amazing job helping people. But I know of several people who have given up a long time ago. So have I. It’s not worth the frustration anymore.
@@NicolajFlies I get the people that had enough. It has had me pull my hair several time for sure xbox and PC. Had to completely Reset my PC twice losing everything because of the Sim being stuck on an update. Whatever I did didin't work. We have had many issues and errors since launch and definetly you wouldn't see those in other games. I think mainly because it's a Simulator with such a vast scale having to run online with all the Data. The scale of it is insaine when you think of it and that perhaps comes with errors and Asobo messing things Up along with it. Hopefully 2024 version will bring those people that quit back.
@@QuantumGamingUploads - 2024 will definitely not be a launch day purchase for me. They’ve already started changing a lot to the 2024+, which means (we promise it’ll come). I’m crossing my fingers and hoping they’ve learned from 2020. Would be great with a good simulator. 🙌😊
