Do NOT worry about talking too quickly. Love that you pack a lot of detail in to a short time. I don't want to see one hour videos if it can be avoided. We can easily slow down and pause the video. PLEASE keep it dense...
Thank you, that was a very well-done video. I'd always shied away from VNAV because I figured it would be way over my head, but you made it easy to follow.
I too was getting frustrated with the throttle until now…I mapped my throttle quadrant so that when I select mixture lever to full rich it goes to the first notch and the my pitch lever takes it across the gate to high idle…from then on its all throttle! Works like a charm, no more mousing around
LOL.. "Brutally hot Phoenix, Arizona", true.. from June through September, but it's also brutally nice from October through May. :-) You (in Tucson) are also 1,000 feet higher in elevation than we are so you're typically 5 degrees cooler than Phoenix.
Great video thank you and really smooth! Can you please share your latest graphic settings in the sim and if you use Nivida control panel. Every time there is an update it affects the graphics. Thanks
Thank you, gives me something to do after work :) KLAS-KPHX in the TBM! KLAS is my favorite airport simply because I love seeing Vegas. Bought the scenery pack for LV and they did a great job.
Ya I'll eat my last comment I was wrong. Turns out there's a emergency mode dial on the O2 mask itself that allows oxygen to flow and a nuematic strap release which is why the master switch needs to be on. Cool the way socata set up the strap release.
Another good Overkill production, as usual. Great to see your channel growing everyday. Have you seen the 3D printed TBM 930 throttle quadrant that is doing the rounds on RU-vid??? Not available outside of the USA if you want a prebuilt version due to reasons including freight etc. Which is a pain in the butt. However it's only a few parts and a 3d printer away lol. Word is that is excellent in VR as well due to it matching what you see in the real world/sim flight deck/cockpit.
Thanks for this tutorial :) Had a bit of trouble with inputting the arrival and approach. On my map, there were a few extra waypoints at the end of the arrival- instead of turning right at ENSEA onto the approach beginning at ALLIS, the arrival keeps going onto FBALL, PGSKIN, etc... I'm not able to get that nice, smooth curve into the approach. As far as I can see I'm following the tutorial step by step. Not sure what the deal is. Anyway, thanks again!
Sorry, you have triggered my OCD apostrophe police brain. Should be “your mileage … “ instead of “you’re” mileage. You’re is the contracted form of you are. Apologies but I can’t help myself.
Less than 200 knots is pretty slow for 15 miles away fron the runway. ATC usually like you to keep your speed up in the real world. Nice to see you trying to follow the flight director immediately after takeoff in order to keep the airspeed low and thus climb angle higher.
@@lpappas474 Nope. It's a characteristic of his flying. His speed varies conderably. As I said, at 15 miles out his IAS was 198. He's consistently slow for extended periods. It's the sim though, so no big deal.
I tried to fly the TBM 930 for the first time a few days ago but I found out that my Honeycomb throttle handle on my Bravo throttle quadrant cannot synchronize with the the one in the aircraft in the simulator, basically if I try to use 100% on my Bravo throttle handle, the one on the 930 was not able to go past the idle level due to the way the throttle handle was designed in this aircraft. You have to slide the handle to the left and forward to increase the throttle. I also tried to use the mouse interface to move the throttle handle to the left or right but that wasn't working too well. I hope Asobo will provide a fix for this issue and it ignores having to slide the handle to either left or right to be able to use the full range that's available on the TBM 930's throttle. Also, if you know of a trick or a way to workaround those limitations I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
9:55 I've done everything up to this point but when I go to enter the SID and hit departure my screen looks nothing like this. There's nothing in the Sequence window and Departure, Runway, and Transition are all greyed out and no way to click them to add things. What am I doing wrong?
Hi! For various reasons, i've been away from simming for a few months. I came back to fly my TBM, and I've found after the new updates my old controller settings (the ones outlined by "Rmag") for my TBM and my Bravo now do NOT work properly with my system. Is there an easy workaround with the current situation? Am I missing something??? I'm really tired of the shoehorning to fit "Xbox" players into a serious sim. This has jacked up an otherwise well-growing well evolving sim.
hello Overkill and guys! Just wondering if anyone is experiencing problems with the Bravo binding like the landing gear and with setting bindings and the simulator not recognizing controls and long control profile load times (bindings) in Options "Controls). and things like that, sorry to be so long-winded. thanks
Yeah I think the internet separator just opens the louvers on the turbos intake underneath the plane so during takeoff and while you're on the tarmac it's supposed to be closed but once you're up in a cruise altitude you open it up I don't think it has any effect in the game but I still use it too. 😝
Love your videos and site. I just tried the TBM 930 mod with the G3000 mod. While climbing out the panel went completely black without touching anything? Any thoughts? I am using a bravo alpha. Tried my flight from KBID to KTEB several times. Each time the panel goes black about 2 minutes into the climb. I even tried starting from the rwy with engine and airplane all running. Same results
@@OverkillSimulations I just order a dofreailty h3 yesterday that I'm very excited about...but for flying either the h6 or p6 would be better but more money obviously lol but are relatively cheap compared to other brands...but cool videos man! I've been binge watching forsure
It is a PDF file and works through your browser. I know it works on my PC through Microsoft Edge. I have not tried my iPad but I assume any browser will work as PDF is a very common application. I apologize if I am misunderstanding your question. If you are asking for permission, It's my understanding the document is the perk of being a member; access to the documents. If I am wrong I am sure Overkill can set the record straight when he gets a chance. The documents are well thought out and put together. I have 530 hours in the Longitude and I learned things I did not know with the Longitude manual.
Thanks for this, I was really hoping it would give me what I needed as I love the 930, but not yet used to creating/inputting flight plans, or not familiar with the G3000, only having used the G1000 before. As it's a 'tutorial', by default that means for learners/beginners or people not used to it. Thereofre, although I find your speach speed ok, your mouse movements around the panel and the discriptions which you use whils doing so FAR too fast. You also need to explain what you're doing a little better, and WHY you're doing it.
