@@ShanesCows its funny because its true 😅and now you got to tell me and with me I mean US, where the hell are we getting these gorgeous Chewy stickers?
Awesome recap. Yes, please do more of these. A digest like this makes it easier for the rest of us to keep up with the ever-changing world of Microsoft. :)
Thanks, Shane. I have been building apps in teams lately, and a word of warning, the ALM story is half-baked at best. More specifically, if you build apps in one team environment and want to move them to another team environment, perhaps in a Dev/Test/Prod scenario. Get ready for a bumpy ride. 😧
Thanks for all you do for the community, Shane! This was a great recap and I loved your commentary about the updates/changes. Nice to be reminded that it's still early days too! New video idea: In the new era of hybrid work, I'd love to see a "schedule a hybrid meeting/event app" wherein someone can create a meeting request including time, duration, and location for a timezone the organizer may not reside in (e.g., organizer may be in Pacific Time (US & Canada), but the physical meeting takes place in Eastern Time (US & Canada)). 1. How would you account for the offset of the organizer wherein the timezone is different from their local timezone? 2. How would you handle time zone selection and conversion in the invite for invitees? 3. If you wanted to store these invites in a list or dataverse for users to view in an app all in one place, how would you serve up this information? 4. Are there limitations to date/time/timezone intelligence, such as accounting for daylight savings time (DST) in Power Apps today that can't be done with Lists or Dataverse? How would you create a time zone dropdown where the selection is compatible with Windows time zones in Outlook/Teams? Appreciate you considering this as a future video. 😊
Thank you for taking the time to digest and discuss the key points! I agree 100% that we are early adopters, its one of the things that makes life exciting. Seeing new ways to improve business and I fins that alongside the business my personal growth has come a long way. Hard to believe 5 or 6 years ago I started down this road, and now we are running thousands of flows, a few apps and usong dataverse to make life better.
Thanks for your insights on what is new here, Shane. If I'm not mistaken, the feature that allows 2 people to work on the app at the same time, also has a file that holds all the changes that were made to the app. There are so many times, I wished I could have something like that.
Great video. I love the quick brief and the impact warning. I need it. I’d love to see a Vehicle Short and Long Term Rental App with Managers and different pick up and drop off locations.
Another great and informative video. Any chance we could see some videos taking a deeper dive on how to better integrate Teams and PowerApps - best practices, tips/tricks, etc.?
Hi Shane, thanks for the recap I was waiting any reporting tool so i can get the data away of delegations issues, but it fine so far and I started using the start screen new property
Thanks Shane, Excelent news for me with the MS Access connector, I have been pusing datsets from Access linked tables to sharepoint todate so this will will realy help me developing more applictions for the airline i work for.. As always great video lots of other great stuff. Good heads up for the sharepoint address change and Landing page and deep linking, my regulatory document liburary and Expity notification will need to be modified to accomidate the changes so that approvers can still link to the appropate document from the Email embedded link..
Hi, we've just created a job scheduling system for a small gardening company using Access for the "office" and PowerApps on the gardeners phones to record time. We really like the combination so this new integration sounds very interesting.
Sorry three people didn't like this. Probably cats who are not Chewy fans hehe. Thank you for taking the time to put this together! I am always impressed with the time and effort you put into these videos! Thank you!
Hello Mr Young; Do you have any idea when (and how) it wil be possible to pack our apps for roll out via mobile divice management as announced at ignite? thanks in advance
Congratulations Shane!. You have it well deserved for your work to disseminate this technology. I have learned a lot from you and I hope to continue to do so. Thank you.
Shaaane, help!! In the company i work on, i'm not able to access dataverse tables and i don't know why!? Under "Dataverse" in Power Apps home screen it only shows the usual options: "Dataflows", "Connections", "Custom connections", etc. Is it a license limitation or company restriction? Also, thank you for all the content!
For Project Online the best way to get at it is using the Project API via the SharePoint HTTP action. 😬 I have done one project as such and it works not to bad once you get the hang of the API.
@@ShanesCows Hi Shane thanks for reply - could you suggest the videos I need to watch to figure out what Project API via the SharePoint HTTP action means lol😆
@@ShanesCows yes I had like 4 questions regarding the new mobile apps package options, should I email those questions to you directly? I also asked those questions on the PowerApp forum as well
