​series x allows you to play any xbox disc ever made from og Xbox to current. If you have the right tv it has the capability of 120 fps. It is the most powerful console on the market. I way prefer it over the S. It also has way more storage available and with games like BO6 that's 360 GB it's necessary.

@@JarOfGreed Your right but, it cant play all xbox 360/og xbox disc's and if your going for games like valorant and fortnite the series s gets better fps bc it has worse graphics other than that the series x is better and I got mine brand new for 350 usd but my friend got his brand new for 96 usd on black friday. I wish I could remember the channel but a former Dev. was explaining that these new devs are 'challenged' in skill, have poor work ethic & don't like hard work and their coding is more lengthy & bloated & it's why games take up so much more memory. THEY are most of the problem

@@bitterangels4001 I agree. In the old 8-bit era coders worked their socks off to wring every inch of performance out of them. Developers are now lazy by comparison, spoilt by large storage, processors, etc.

its not a lack of skill, its a refusal to treat the Series S like the console it is... which is an inferior system. Games should be 720p and they would run just fine.

Some people just want to be able to take their console out of it's packaging, hook it up to a TV/monitor, and start playing right away, instead of having to spend 8 hours of their day just to put together a PC and then even then depending on the game it still may not run correctly 7 times out of 10.

I thought for sure that's what they'd of done if they made another series S, kind of like a PS5 slim, I thought they'd make an optional disk drive, but instead they made the exact thing they already have one of, the black series S with 1tb looks better than the white one, I think they're just gonna lose money here

@@meekrowhave Some devs want to push the boundaries of what gaming can do because they aren't money grabbing corporations and actually passionate about what they do. They will happily release only on PC, and not touch consoles because they know the consoles can't handle it.

If you want to compare it you need to combine your RAM and VRAM on PC. When you have 16 GB of RAM and 6GB in GPU you have 22 GB for everything which isn’t enough right now. Xbox Series S have 10GB

@@irosso125 So close, yet so far. It is not as simple as combining ram, amount of vram is mostly dependent on what resolution you are using. Higher amount of pixels = higher vram usage. There are other factors that effect vram too, such as medium texture quality vs ultra texture quality. Ray tracing also effects vram, since it is bouncing lights off those textures effecting how the texture looks. I could be on a 6gb vram card, and have 64gb of physical ram and it still wouldn't be enough. Combining ram only makes sense when comparing console specs to pc. For example, the ps5 has 16gb GDDR6 shared system memory (not dedicated vram). This means that it actually never has 16gb of dedicated vram, since the cpu needs a lot of that capacity to function so it is likely that the graphics can only use 10 or perhaps even 8gb of that shared system memory. However on a PC, you have cards with 12 - 16gb of dedicated vram now. If you get a 4090, you actually have 24gb of dedicated vram. In my case I have RTX 4070 super, so I have 12gb of vram + 32gb of physical ram on top of that. There is no multi-platform game released right now that utilises all of my hardware, because consoles are bottlenecking the game engines. This is why I didn't bother getting a 4090\4080, my card can handle 4k just fine but I actually prefer to play 1440p for higher framerates + it looks almost as good as 4k. I go to a pc exclusive game however, and I can get full usage out of my hardware. This just proves that consoles are a limiting factor for gaming.

It's not better, but it's a budget friendly device that gets you into xbox ecosystem and gamepass foe the win. Has good specs for 250 pounds device. Bargain

Console is a more controlled environment though. The developer and Microsoft will never allow a game to be put on the S by looking completely different and like garbage just so it can be playable. The demand is that the S version looks similar in lower resolution and at best a little more blurry and only small details not being there. But on your PC you can lower the graphics a lot more even it it looks bad and play.

If you ever watch boundary breaking in games you will see they use techniques like in the witcher 3 where when you are not looking at something it distorts and kind of melts everything as a way to keep the game running at a steady fps.

That's not a good example no, it's a huge team, almost infinite fundings & has to release an exclusive Xbox on the One, Series S and Series X. While if you're for example a small developer with 100 members in a tight budget, you literally have to develop for ALL THE CONSOLES if you want to maximize profits gains. That's the Xbox One, PS4, Series S, Series X, PS5, incoming PS5 Pro & PC. All while mantaining parity features & cross-platform servers between all the consoles.
