I ran macOS Catalina in a virtual machine on VMWare to preview all of the Mac voices. Rather than listening to their default sayings, I wanted to be unique, so I typed my own sentences. The 2.0 voice varients are possible by using the pmod tag and setting the number to 127. For Fred's pitch in his demo, I set his pitch (pbas tag) to 60, then put it back to 42.5. A speech tag cannot exceed the number 127 or go below the number 1. For some reason, Automator has a huge problem with the Siri voices. The next best thing to do is to do what I did in this video to get them to say something.
The Siri voices happen to have their own (real) names, which are demonstrated in this video, but in case you missed them, here's a list of the voice names for each voice. (Voice names are hidden in an app like System Preferences). Keep in mind however that there are 2 Siri Female United States options. For this case, the Siri voices for that group will be listed how they appear in the order they are displayed in the dropdown menu. Note that you can no longer, from my experience, download the High Quality "Nicky" voice anymore, which is why it sounds so compact in the video.

UPDATE: Siri voices now possible to be converted to audio file natively thanks to the Shortcuts app and a shortcut called Turn Text Into Audio. With a few adjustments, you can get any system voice to generate an audio file, though it generates in .caf format. In addition, all Macintalk voices, including those in the novelty category, have been successfully ported to iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 by Apple. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DC6jjLOpaJ0.html There is also an unconfirmed rumor going around stating that Apple has provided an API for developers to integrate third party TTS engines into iOS, though the documentation is not clear about how one would obtain said 3rd party voices.

@@winelectronic101 speaking of voices, when you save the voice clips from balabolka, do you rename them to anything or... because for me its shows the audio file name as the text you type in.

@@kemia3492 Generally what I like to do is go in alphanumeric order (especially if it's a multipart audio file that is so complex and needs to be in order). By default for some reason it chooses the first words to put as your filename.

@@winelectronic101 I think by alphanumeric order you mean you probably set it as 01.wav or something or. Ok I don't know. But is there not any setting in balabolka that allows you to do so? Because just having the first words will make it soooooo hard to even find the files later as its stored in your documents folder and has a lot of files in the way like the windows sounds you have (which I think you used the os sound kit for) which at this point probably doesn't even get any more updates because windows esthetic's (the original creater of that project) doesn't have plans to continue that, or that pack might be something different in the future. But thoughs folders and files are probably going to get in the way of the first words that balabolka uses.

I wouldn't say that the voices at 19:20 are normal voices. All of these voices are (or, in the case of Nicky, have been) used for the voice of Siri. That makes all of these voices Siri voices.

So there's a pitch control tag on the Mac voices that changes up the pitch just like SAPI4 and SAPI5, I see. So is the control tag something like "{{pitch #}} where the pitch would be any number from 1 to 127?

Hey Nora, I use a screen reader called Jaws. I wish you were one of my Jaws voices. I wish all the mac voices were compatible for jaws! That way I could type things and listen to all of them, including the singing ones.

lol I use jaws with Vocalizer Voice Samantha! How did I get the idea to do so? Well, the answer is one word long. VoiceOver! Yeah that's right! I wish we had Ivona with jaws, then i'd probably use Kimberly. Or Amy. Most likely Amy. lol!

No such thing exists, however, if you have an Intel based processor, you'll be able to download a patch that allows you to run macOS inside of VMWare.

@@dontmindbeingblindd I know, but I highly doubt that apple will do that. I mean, Alex wasn't included in iOS until 2014, almost 2015, and only on newer devices, and they didn't push over Fred and Victoria until 2016 when those had always been a part of macOS at least 10 years before they were pushed over to iOS.

Zarvox 2 and Trinoids 2 aren't real voices. All I did was put the tag [[pmod 127]] with those voices in front of them with that text.

for zarvox 2.0 and the trinoids 2.0 and the like [[pmod 127]] you may have to use the mod tag for this. Applies to some voices, but not all of them. Not even singing voices. [[pbas 42.5]] for freds pitch its 42.5. [[pbas 32.5]]Am I doing ralfs voice right. [[44.5]], um, I guess not then. , I don't know what the pitch is for even junior cathy and princess, I mean kathy

You can do this yourself if your computer's processor is by Intel.

Well, it's not impossible, but it will be extremely difficult. Plus, if your processor is not by Intel, you are out of luck, since macOS can't be installed in AMD processor Windows computers.

I don't know about that! I hope they put all the Siri voices on the Jaws Screen Reader so blind people like myself can type and listen to Nora and others read out loud what I type! I love Nora, and think she'd make a great room mate if she were human!

Sadly, that's not getting updates anymore. Otherwise, you'd have all macintalk voices. iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 ported the rest of the Macintalk family to iPhone and iPad, including those in the Novelty category.

macOS 13, iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 renamed this voice to Superstar for an unknown reason. It has also been taken out of the female voice category and placed under Novelty.

Honestly I don't think anyone should break Apple's terms of service by running Mac on a Windows PC if I was a Apple fan I would never break their terms of service that is not recommended

I actually own a real MacBook Air with the same OS in this video, however, it can only be turned on when connected to a power source. One time when I had it connected it almost created an electric shock, so I immediately unplugged it, shutting the whole thing off. Although to be fair, it's rather annoying to keep it plugged in, especially when that connector can easily be disconnected. One small move and it could just get disconnected which shuts the compputer down.

Hahahahahahahaha, you can't say McIntosh correctly. Siri is out of date with this type of pronunciation. I really don't like Siri. Because apple is collecting my data. Goodbye Apple. I don't trust you anymore. Oh yeah, Voice Over is almost broken. Sometimes, Siri will not respond, if you are connected through a WiFi. Microsoft will seriously begin to join the forces with you. Cortana Virtual assistant is better then Siri. Apple is out of luck, with an iPhone 12.

Sorry to break it to you, but support for theCortana app for iOS and Android got discontinued and the service for those platforms got pulled on March 31, 2021.
