It is not specifically mentioned here, but I assume you have to login to Bing with your work M365 account for this to function properly, correct?

Yes, that is right. We do show that the Megan account is logged in on Windows and mobile.

Cool stuff. Will it crawl data sources(SharePoint, OneDrive, QnA) instead entering them manually in Microsoft search settings configuration

It does automatically index SharePoint, OneDrive and Azure AD. The manual additions of bookmarks, acronyms, floor plans, ect. is on top of the auto indexing and graph-generated results.

Great content. Lets say for acronyms: is there any product that could mine acronyms automatically from company documents? Or are we in Azure or Cortex area? Thank you

It's possible to get via search in SharePoint, but not a "find all acronyms" control. Once Project Cortex is available, it will help find the information and related relational data to acronyms - without having to manually identify and define them.

I think the best way is to find your topic (user or admin) from Microsoft Ignite (myignite.techcommunity.microsoft.com/sessions?t=%257B%2522from%2522%253A%25222019-11-03T08%253A00%253A00-05%253A00%2522%252C%2522to%2522%253A%25222019-11-08T19%253A00%253A00-05%253A00%2522%257D&g=%255B%2522on-demand%2522%255D) then find a session and most will have the PPT file included.

It seems to suggest that bing needs to be the default search provider. If the default search engine is Google, would this work?

To get the search from the address bar to work, you'd need to have Bing set as the default engine. Else you could search from bing.com and get the same results shown.
