If you watch the old bio card videos, Frost’s video has a bit where an unbelievable amount of people complained about a female sub-zero and one guy even wrote a letter saying it would destroy the franchise, I can’t imagine how they’d react to what they did to Sektor and Cyrax in this game.
Me too, but Microsoft let DOOM be on PS5, however from a competitors point of view I don't understand why. If DOOM and MK were exclusive to Xbox I'd literally be forced to buy an Xbox. Literally forced. Because those are literally two of the only games I play. It'd be a no brainer.
I think you're dead wrong about Microsoft. Just look at their failed products. Hi-Fi Rush was greatly received, it won awards and had good sales. Evil Within series were also loved and well received. Arcane Austin was a creative studio and Microsoft closed them just for one failed product which were forced upon them (Red fall). Now imagine what would happen to NRS and Mortal Kombat franchise if Microsoft didn't feel they need them anymore... Look at what Microsoft did to Nokia and many other companies.

I disagree TMK, not only MS is woke but they are NOTORIOUS to kill studios even when they are doing a good job Plus look at what they did to KI, they released in parts (they pioneer the stupid Season pass tjing with figthing games) and once they where done they havent touched that franchise ever again
Yes they are still woke gears 5 makes me want to vomit I refuse to buy it or play it. However, as I said in the video Microsoft are the only ones that have done any sort of push back against DEI/ESG/BRIDGE they are also loaded. The 4 studios they killed wern't producing profits, one Alpha Dog Games only made 4 Mobile Games and the others hadn't had decent titles for years.

If I remember right, Mileena and Tanya had super flirtatious dialogue with each other in MKX and I think there was some other dialogue that touched on them having a relationship. In MK11, Mileena's ending showed Tanya holding her as she held her new baby clearlyhinting at their relationship. I think there might have been some dialogue intros that touched on it in 11 as well. MK1 was just the first to show it in the story.
I don't think there is any going back for MK. The corporate culture is just way too different now. It doesn't matter who buys the IP. They're all the same, pushing the same agendas, appealing to a "modern audience" (we all know what that means).
Mortal Kombat can be great again with the right development team. I wish at least Tobias would do something about this ongoing situation. He needs to get in there and take action. I know we want all the mature rated content we know and love from decades ago. Will Microsoft pick up the slack from the game and make it much better than it currently is. The thing is Microsoft doesn’t like to develop fighters. I will take at least some new action games that really make the story line shine. Keep the veteran employees and screw the rest of the developers and rehire new developers that know what they are doing for the franchise. I agree DC universe should team up with Microsoft. That would be huge help for the franchise. No more guests characters will be added to the game, because there will be nothing to promote. Someone who can afford to buy and pay Tobias will work out, because he is sort of like our only hope. Reference to Star Wars. Imagine if Disney picked up the franchise, the details would be in a galaxy far far away so to speak. I wish Midway never bankrupt. Where would we be today if someone saved Midway? WB discovery can sell off their assets, as new divisions jump in and take over where they left off. This is spreading like wildfire. Selling $10 fatalities won’t help them at all. Harry Potter is over in the theatre, but not the gaming industry. The cost of this exchange would be in the billions somewhere. Will there be a buyer? WB changed from Injustice to Mortal Kombat, because it is a bigger franchise and bigger seller. Someone else needs to pull Mortal Kombat out of the corner they are in. I know there is some developer who is willing to clean up this franchise and move forward in a new direction. The game is definitely rushed with a lot of missing content and modes it should have had. What will actually get kept or sold? Tobias can work with the action based games. I wish Boon and Tobias could merge together again.
I don’t know where people been at when it comes to Xbox for the last decade plus if they require an RS they won’t make it a exclusive they care about maximizing their profit, then the console wars. Did people forget WB games was going to get sold off possibly like three years ago with the whole AT&T selling WB games rumors? Microsoft is the only studio I trust with the Mortal Kombat that would turn it back to the way it used to be.. and they won’t kill their customers with micro transactions like WB, take two interactive, EA, etc. And if Microsoft buys Mortal Kombat, I’ll walk them to fire Dominic Ciacolo because he has ruined the lore of MK. Even started all fresh with a brand new story. So is it like she’s a full-blown female now in the games and the transgender thing was a concept or she’s a transgender now still? And I’m actually letting that slide because street fighter comes from that anime tree and anime sometimes have traps aka men that you think are women, but it usually used as like comedy when the male character finds out

I don’t think Microsoft closing that dei department means that will affect woke stuff in their games. That department could have been redundant for all of Microsoft and individual game studios might have their own dei dictating people. Microsoft has said they want to be hands off for their studios and give them more freedom. Hopefully it was just WB pushing that stuff and that netherrealm on its own will make whatever they want. I don’t think anyone has to worry about mortal kombat being taken off PlayStation. Microsoft isn’t selling consoles like they thought they would with Starfield and don’t want to miss out on money. And with the criticism they got for regulators about the activision merger I’m sure they will be very open about their intentions to not take content away from competitors. I wonder if they would put their new large catalog of owned characters in Mortal Kombat DLC like Doom Guy, Marcus Fenix, or even like The Dragon Born. I hope they would put the entire mortal Kombat back catalog on gamepass with backwards compatibility.

Microsoft is going to ruin MK like they ruined Killer Instinct (don't get me wrong it is a great game the problem was they made it X Box one & it affects the sales even the fact that there were 2 pc versions ruined it & it took them 10 years to fix, so they will never be a sequel)

Historically Xbox has let devs do whatever they want, that’s why Gears and Halo fell to shit, they got bought out by Microsoft and directed by non-original developers that didn’t even know what they were working with, unlike NRS, THEY KNOW what they’re doing and what they want to do.
Eh not really, they handed Gears to Rod Ferguson who was part of the Original Gears Team. He wasn't cliff but he was there for the banger Gears Titles working on the games. But they let ESG and DEI run Rampant in Gears and Now It's ruined, the new one looks better but we will have to wait and see. My point is, even if you get Cliff back, or Tobias back it doesn't matter while there are other problems in studios ruining our games. Get rid of the politics and make it all neutral.
This is actually super good news. People have been whining about MK1 nonstop and often rightfully so; we found the culprit; WB is going broke. Get rid of WB, get rid of $12 fatalities and deadlines to make new games every 4 years, get rid of all the ultra woke BS, get rid of prospects for livestreaming, and there you go - the MK paradox of "why can't they give us a comptent competitive fighting game?" is solved.
Look, I'm not biased as I own every thing (videos are on channel -4090, Series,X, PS5, Switch) But as a MK player since fucking ABACABB, MS is NOT who should buy MK. It's god damn FIGHTING GAME. Put it on XBOX only, and it DONE. Just like Killer Instinct. I only give a fuck about the fighting, and the longevity of the game. Infact, I pretty much hate everything between UMK3/MKT and MK9, because those are shit fighting games. A fighting game isn't shit without PlayStation. You can buy a crossplay fighting game on XBOX if you want, because you'll get all the players from PS and Steam. If you play a fighting game that depends solely on XBOX and MS store, well, have fun for like 2 weeks. Evo side tournament at best. It really only sounds like you care about the DEI shit. Personally, I don't give a fuck if the robots are whatever the fuck they are. I don't even care about single player and story why this is like it is or isn't. I'm going to use a trainer to unlock all that grind bullshit so I can focus on getting good at the game.
