An acquisition is different than a partnership. Can I see MS buying Valve for 16BN? No. Can I see Steam getting into a lucrative dealwith MS for for 10 years for 16BN? Yes. Valve has always wanted to get into the console market and this partnership would be perfect.

Trying to buy Valve as Microsoft would be suicide. Microsoft already has a monopoly on PC Desktop OS. If they got Valve, they could become THE monopoly for PCs, which would be hugely risky. ABK was stretchy, but Valve is like Microsoft trying to buy Sony. I doubt there would be a market that would accept this, this would be anti-consumer to the maximum. Also, Valve is estimated to have a market cap of 35 billion. 16 billion is nowhere close to enough.

If Microsoft or Sony or any of the alike buy them then I'll make ponies true and I'll start pirating EVERYTHING instead of buying shit from them.

Well, this is an Xbox-related rumor and pretty much any rumor regarding Xbox ends up being false.

I just went and looked at the LISTED revenue numbers Steam has made Valve alone, 2017 Steam that Valve themselves has listed generated them 3.4 Billion dollars in revenue, 2021/2022 Valve has generated 10 Billion dollars in revenue from that platform and that 10 billion is a number that's constantly repeated whenever you search about Valve current revenue from Steam but what I did notice is that the websites talking about the revenue, also note how many accounts were made on the Steam platform, one of which noting that in 2021 the record peak was "26.09 million concurrent users" so if this rumor is true, then it's not the money or the revenue that Microsoft's after.
