Hi Scott, you are a good man and fixed our problem, we have owned our microwave for 2 years and never experienced that before, I unplugged, checked everything and then I did what you suggested....after 15 minutes it shut off by itself. Thank You
Thank you. My fan came on 5 minutes ago while I was cooking on the stove top. I stopped cooking, turned on the a/c to cool the kitchen down, but fan still going. Now I won't panic until the 30 minutes are up!
Thank you! I had used mine for over 30 minutes while browning items in a large skillet for 45 minutes. The over the range microwave became extremely hot and thought it was on a type of auto cool down. So glad you posted this....including the part about unplugging. We tried that prior to seeing your video. We plugged it in and waited a total over over an hour--but it did finally turn off :)
Good grief, thought I was going to have to fix the microwave. After watching this video I found out there's one less thing to do! Thanks so much for posting this video.
Thank you for the info! Been using the microwave for the past 3 years without any problem at all until tonight when the fan came on and would not shut off. I was thinking we were going to have buy a new one! Thanks again!
September 2020... this is what happen in our microwave, turning off the breaker but doesn’t work and my hubby to call our contructor because we purchase a newly-built house and change it!!!... NOW I KNOW it’s automatic!!! Genious!!! Thank you so much!!! Lifesaver!!! 🥰
Thanks so much! I was babysitting for my grandsons at my sons house and this happened. Freaked me out. Kenmore microwave. It went off by itself after 30 minutes just like you said.
Thanks so much. I’m a new homeowner and first time having an over the range microwave. We kept unplugging but it still came back on. I was using the oven along with 3 surface burners so I guess it got too hot. Followed your instructions and voila ..it shut off😊
Thanks for posting this. We have a whirlpool and the auto fan came on for the first time tonight (we've had it for about four years). It does, however, make me wonder why this is the first time I've noticed it kicking in. I was boiling water for nearly seven minutes which I've done numerous times.
