It's the 100th meeting between Port Neches-Groves and Nederland, voted as the #1 high school football rivalry in Texas by Dave Campbell's Texas Football magazine. The winner is awarded the Bum Phillips Bowl trophy, named after the legendary former NFL coach, who also coached at both high schools.
