Dude bell jar is one my favorite books! Definitely makes you introspective about life and how one should live, but what is being a woman if not being introspective! Hope you enjoy:)

My biggest disappointment this year was Evocation by S.T. Gibson; the synopsis sounded SO GOOD, but the execution was...less than stellar. And my favorite character is definitely Murderbot, from The Murderbot Diaries. I started reading the series on KU at the beginning of June, and I'm OBSESSED. Murderbot is so relatable in so many ways. Even though Dracula isn't one of my favorite novels, that copy is stunning!

I also have a hard time figuring out if I like Ali Hazelwood or not - I absolutely ADORED Love, Theoretically but then I practically eye rolled my way through The Love Hypothesis 💀 And now I'm kinda scared to try her other works

Circe is amazing. It was a book I hesitated to start, but once I did I ended up reading it all night. I think if you set some time aside to read the first few dozen or so pages you'll find yourself committed

Love Shady Hollow, definitely recommend. The series just gets better, as you carry on. And there's cute short seasonal books in the series on kindle. One has a halloween setting called Phantom Pond.😊

I loved The Invocations! I just read it last month and was pleasantly surprised since this was my first book by that author. Now I need to read House of Hallow by her I've also never read the Bell Jar but want to read it soon!

So fun to hear that you enjoyed Equal Rites! I've been reading a lot of Discworld this year. Equal Rites was actually my least favourite Discworld book I've read this year. You should read Guards! Guards! (+ sequels), Small Gods, and Mort (+sequels) if you haven't already, they're so great and hilarious :).

Glad you’ve started Discworld 🐢 I first read Small Gods last month and then I read Wyrd Sisters. I haven’t exactly laughed out loud yet which makes me think I’m missing a lot of hidden snarkiness and satire. It must be going right over my head. I have Equal Rites and Witches Abroad to read next. Maybe I’ll get that LOL moment soon 😜🧙‍♀️🧹

My favorite books so far this year are A Court of Wings & Ruin, Funny Story & Happy Place, and The House In The Cerulean Sea. My disappointments were The Serpent and the Wings of Night and The Dead Romantics (Loved the vibes but I felt like the romance fell flat). Favorite new authors would be Rebecca Ross & Emily Henry.
