omggg i love videos like this ~ you don’t have to go over every book you’ve read but the ones that stand out ~ also tia is so right. you never need to read alot of books to be a reader! whether you read one book a month or a year, you are valid in your reading habits! books are not going anywhere and they will still be there when you want to pick one up :)))
Girl not everyone should start a RU-vid channel, but I’m so happy you did! Just found you and already a comfort RU-vidr for me. Can’t wait to watch you grow more! 🎉❤
I've DNF-ed 3 books this year! I think I'm improving with how to curate my reading tastes. My surprise read of the year was Before the Coffee Gets Cold because I read it without any expectations and it became one of my favorites of this year.
I need to be better about DNFing books. I've never DNF'ed an audiobook because I always feel like I should just power through, it's easy. But there's been some lackluster audiobooks I've suffered through that put me in a slump and I'm just struggling with the idea of returning them to Libby without finishing them.
I relate to you with the physical tbr tracker not looking cute 😭 Since I keep borrowing books from the library, my physical tbr is going down VERY slowly and I keep reorganizing how to track it hsjsjssj I believe Part of Your World is the first book in that series! I read 50 pgs of it but dnf’ed bc I all of a sudden felt disconnected to the story and wasn’t invested anymore 😅 as always, very glad that when I got back into reading last year I discovered your channel 💜
LOOL if u ever find a cuter way to reorganize your list pls report back to me 😭 we are in the same boat for every physical book I read I feel like I read 4 library books???!?!? ohhh UR RIGHT yes its the first. I hope you check out Yours Truly (no need to finish PoYW lolll) it's become one of my fav contemporary romances :'') THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR KINDDD WORDS. that means so much to me fr fr
My book tracking is a regular old spreadsheet. Tia's tracker is adorable and well organized, by comparison. And while I have no idea what yours looks like, it's totally fine as long as it suits your needs!
I really enjoy your videos! Thank you for making such lovely and engaging content. I very much appreciated what you said about meeting that need for creativity. Your enthusiasm is inspiring :D
I like your physical TBR tracker. Maybe you can use a spreadsheet if you want something different? I used a different set of questions for my Mid-Year Freakout Tag video (some I think are here but some I think are not, if my memory serves me right).
also every time i hear you talk about Beartown i get excited abt it all over again,,, i'm waiting for it to get cold to read The Winners but then i also want to do an annotating re-read of all three 🤭
I’m the same when it comes to new releases. With all my physical and kindle books I have already I literally just don’t have the mental space to keep tabs on new books lol
i just started reading not in love this morning and it is truly incredible how from the second eli is introduced you can tell he is HORRENDOUSLY down bad haha
Your message about not being "behind" on any reading was very nice- and makes me feel better. I've been in a reading slump this year even though there's so many books I want to read. So Let Them Burn is definitely on my anticipated list to read still, too. I'm also super excited for the sequel to The Prince and The Apocalypse. But I'm not sure if stating that a book about an apocalypse having a sequel is going to be a spoiler so I'll just say that book 2 comes out in July. (DO NOT read book 2's blurb or synopsis if you haven't read book 1.) I'm not much of a romance reader at all, but when I do pick it up, I like it to be a fun, lighthearted palate cleanser. And even though it's about an apocalypse, The Prince and the Apocalypse makes the subject rather funny sometimes.
@@tiachu OMG, it's so good! I'm not totally sure it's supposed to be classified as a "romance" because it is more of a "teenagers having crazy adventures" story. I hope you get a chance to read it, and I hope you like it.
You make me want to read books that i already decided that I didnt want to read lol i think i will give seven year slip a chance. And maybe the kennedy ryan books. I was going to read magnolia parks but 700 pages?! idk if i can read a book that long. 😕 cute bookmark btw! I went to the library yesterday and picked up my hold which was the soulmate (not sure of the author) and bought 2 books for a dollar! Have a nice weekend!
the highest compliment HAHAH, I hope you like those books if you get around to them!! but 100% agree that 700 pages is ridiculous LOLLL. WOOHOO FOR A BARGAIN, enjoy your weekend!!!! : )
I also need to treat the physical books I own as new buys instead of buying new books. Your reading journal is impressive. I hope you got the coffee stain out of your carpet. As you suggested for your subscribers, I am going to do a video answering these questions. Just going to answer the first 3 here. 1. Best book. Diary of a Confused Feminist by Kate Weston 2. Best Sequel. Only read one. Midnight Sun by Stephenie Meyer. Hard to associate the word Best with it. It was my only disappointing read this year. 3. New Releases. You Like It Darker by Stephen King, Rebelling Girl: My Life as a Feminist Punk by Kathleen Hanna, Bride by Ali Hazelwood, and one you mentioned, So Let Them Burn by Kamilah Cole. I own all 4 in some form
