Another great video, Aaron.... this is completely random, but I am a curious person. I follow a good few booktubers, and I always think, "I wonder what they do for a full-time job," or is youtube a full-time job. I don't create videos, but I am an avid reader and book collector, but for a "living" I am a manager of a Farm store with about 30 employees, I live in a small rural town in Oklahoma and not very many people around here are "readers" or collectors of books. Thank you! That's a great random thought. I'm certainly nowhere near the point where RU-vid could be my full-time job. But like you, I often like to imagine how BookTube fits around the rest of people's lives. To satisfy your curiosity somewhat, I work as an Administrator for a University's Disability Service. I never thought it would be the kind of job I'd end up in, but it's been going pretty well so far! 😊
Definitely a unique take on ‘crush’ Aaron 😂. I’m a big Olga Tokarczuk fan and so was going to read her new novel this year anyway, but was extra pleased when I found out the Magic Mountain link as I already had plans to read that with Classics and Company, in fact I started today, so I’ll be able to see any links for myself. Interested to see what you make of Tender is the Night. I’ve read The Great Gatsby multiple times but for some reason have never read anything else by him. 🤔
I hope you have lots of fun with The Magic Mountain! I'm feeling slightly daunted by Tender is the Night and I'm not sure why... Maybe it's just because it's sitting in Gatsby's shadow. I'm still very curious, though!
