I just discovered your channel and I'm so excited! Been dying to find someone who talks about nonfiction, especially the nature/environmental theme!

As someone who also lives in New England, Children of the Northern Forest looks especially interesting. My year is going pretty well. I read 34 books so far. Behind my goals for the year, but I am trying to be more relaxed about them.

Yeah that's the best approach. I should look back on my goals because I know some I've done well and some I've basically forgot about lol. And 34 is still over 1 a week easily

It’s been a decent reading year for me so far but that slows down in the summer with growing season. Going to guess you’ve read 57 books this year Justin and yes that cover with the Lynx on it is stunning!

That's actually a really good guess. Yeah during May and September my gardening time helps with some extra audiobooks I think. Glad your reading has been going well so far

Great list! Being Mortal is one of those books I reaaally want to read and I’ve been reaaally wanting to read it since forever, but I haven’t gotten around to it. 🙈 I know it’s going to be a favorite when I do. Haha I’m going to film a historathon edition of this tag and I do have an answer to the crush question 😂😂😂 I can find an answer to that question anywhere

Just a note on the name "Aramis." It was the name of one of the Three Musketeers. I wonder if they've stolen anything else... Perhaps you'd enjoy the book:)
@TriumphalReads
@TriumphalReads Месяц назад
Oh yeah they borrow stuff from things all the time lol. I was also told Aramis was a terrible but popular fragrance a few decades ago haha. That definitely borrowed from Dumas. Monte Cristo and the Musketeer trilogy is on my list if I ever get around to reading long classics

Oh, Peter Godfrey Smith wrote a new book? Ibalso enjoyed his other stuff. I read Other Minds after being massively disappointed by Soul of an Octopus, haha.
@TriumphalReads

I liked both but I don't think Soul of an Octopus really lived to the hype per se. I like some of Montgomery's other stuff better. But yeah that one os coming out in August or September if I remember correctly I didn't even read the synopsis tbh after knowing the author and subtitle haha.
