I’m so glad I found you because we have such similar taste!! My favorites of the year: ashes and star cursed king, fourth wing and the maddest obsession 🔥🔥 starting fear the flames next!
I’m literally reading fourth wing for the second time this month because I am literally obsessed with the vibes lol. Could care less about the flaws it’s just pure serotonin to me 😭😭
OMG THANK YOU for your honest review of happy place!!!! I was so disappointed and have all the same opinions you shared! I don’t really understand how it is so widely loved
My fave books this year so far were fourth wing, the serpent book , and the lady of darkness. I also loved the third gilded book and daughter of no worlds was pretty good. I'm reading the book of azrael and it's really good so far. Love your channel your gorgeous and have so many books similar to what I love to read. Perfect combination!! ❤
that is so funny you say that because i just went through my tbr and got rid of lots of contemporary romances that i just don't feel compelled to read anymore! fantasy/romantasy is the escapism that i've chased since i was little
🐉⚔OMG I have so many! A Queen of Thieves & Chaos, The Shadow Cabinet, The Atlas Complex, Nightbane, Iron Flame, Check & Mate, The Invisible Hour: A Novel, House of Roots and Ruin, and I suspect there are more!!!!
I totally feel you with being drawn to a certain genre more then others and having to “allow” myself to be okay with that. I actually always come to your account when I need a new fantasy recommendation 🥰
I love the Ashes book by carissa! Both are so good! I was sad when it ended!😢 also fourth wing what you said I completely agreee yes it has flaws but it was such a fun read and it kept me on the edge of my seat and the ending was unexpected!
Omg I can’t wait for you to read Starless Sea! There’s a short story in there called The Inn At The End Of The World that’s one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever read.
Project Hail Mary was simply amazing. Also enjoyed Warbreaker. Currently reading 3rd book of First Law Trilogy, I'm loving it! Need to check the hype for Fourth Wing.
clockwork princess is one of the most impactful books I’ve ever read- I’ve never ever read a book that made me sob as much and just think of that ending for hours on end. Honestly Cassandra Claire did smth few authors dare to do but it made the book all the more emotional and beautiful.
My fav books so far for romance are def the boys of tommen- all of it but mostly saving and redeeming 6. And for fantasy the bargainer series, crescent city and my reread of the infernal devices. for dark romance def the anti-heroes in love duet by Giana darling and the thorns remain by Jennifer Hartmann💗
Under the radar dark fantasy romances I think you'd like. The Queen's Court. And Lady of Darkness series. IT'S SOO GOOD! After acotar I thought I would be in a reading slump, but this definitely took me out of it! 💅💅
new favourite author is carissa broadbent unsurprisingly! and for books i want to read before the end of the year, i really want to continue the blood grace series by vela roth, read fear the flames, and maybe start my reread of throne of glass even though i finish the series only at the end of may ⚔🐉
I couldn’t agree with you more about Happy Place. Definitely not my happy place when I read that book. I did like people we meet on vacation way more than I liked that one. I’m not sure if I liked book lovers.
Have I heard you discuss most of these books before? yes. Have I somehow left this video with more books on my tbr? yes 🤭🤭🤭 My best book of the year is by FAR Kingdom of Ash, I still carry that trauma around with me everyday 😭😭 My high priority tbr for the rest of the year has to be another TOG reread & The Stormlight Archive series! i’m so intimidated by those books it makes me wanna cry, but I HAVE to know what’s inside those thousands and thousands of pages 😭⚔️🐉
I am loving the Shadow Demons Saga by Sarra Cannon. I have so many books to read in six months. I am reading Vegeneful Darkness which is book 11 in the Shadow Demons Saga series. She hasn't written book 12 yet. I will move on to Winter which is over 800 pages. It's book 4 of the Lunar Chronicles series.
Hey girlie! Dont know if you've seen them but if you love illustrations in your fantasy books then the page overlays from Reading Portal are a must! They have them for acotar and they're so beautiful! 🥲
I just finished the Throne of Glass series and now I'm stressed because so much of my remaining TBR for the year is series 🤒 Remnant Chronicles/Dance of Thieves, Caraval/Once Upon a Broken Heart, Shadow and Bone/Six of Crows lol
Hi Rachel, I love your video, soo many good books! I am awaiting on my copy of Warbreaker, I have heard such good things about it. I just finished The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson and it was epic!
I didn't like Happy Place either! it's my first time reading an Emily Henry novel, so I want to give her one more change, but I just thought Happy Place was kinda boring.
I just finished Happy Place and for some reason I couldn’t connect to the characters i didn’t even cry or felt any emotion. Which are ur favorite Emily Henry?
I'd heard about Project Hail Mary but it was your video and reaction that convinced me to read it, and yes. I agree. I'll be doing nothing, and then I'll just remember and my heart will clench and I love that book a lot. I don't watch all the booktubers (because that would be too much) but you might be the first who has said they cry at everything always all the time, instead of the many, "I never cry" that I hear. I too am a person who cries always, all the time over anything. a personal question: as a person who is kind of new to your channel, how often do you get, 'wow, you really look like Lindsay Lohan'????
🐉⚔ tbr isn't that big. i will read the war of lost hearts asap, the secret history and if we were villains. and i'm going to buy more books because it makes me happy. :)
