Still listening to all the old skool tunes at nearly 55, raved from 88 - 93 bests days ever & met some amazing people along the way & made many lasting friendships
The intro is sampled from a track called Ghost In The Bassline by Infrequent Oscillation And the piano is from Agent Orange - Sounds A Bit Flakey To Me
Still one of my fav old school happy hardcore tracks, timeless! I’m 43 now and for me ‘89-‘95 was the best time for the rave scene before Gabba came in and ruined it all.
This was the last of the tunes I liked in 94/95 before it all got far too happy, fast and crap. Monster record, remember hearing it at Fusion and just dribbling all over myself, they were the days 😎
Totally agree, awesome track!! but by spring of 95 it went way too fast and cheesy with crap like toy town and now is the time. Early 90's were the best years IMO
I wasn't around in the scene, I was only born in 96, however I don't see how people can dislike this music... Its beyond brilliant gets a real buzz going, a buzz I don't get from DnB or other genres.
Midas wrote some belters: Never Give Up, Groove Control, Break On Thru, etc. It's a real shame that Hardcore like this isn't being produced any more. I'm sure you all agree. BIG UP THE 'GROOVER *\o/*
47 year old nw was lucky to be 13 at start of rave in 88. Wow how things have evolved man, god dam, they said rave would die. Will it bollocks as it evolves into about a million sub genres lol. Drum and bass/ breakbeat will live forever!!!!!!!!!! Amen break
i found a tune the other month which i last heard in 1993, after all these years i never thought i would hear it again. Bookmarked, hard drive went tits up and forgot what it was called. :D but was lucky enough to burn it to cd and its in my car. Still many tunes out there to find, doubt i ever will.
I was pretty old, even back in 95, but at any Dreamscape/Fusion/Helter skelter night if this came on at 5am I would drag my fat ass off the floor and go f**king mental again!! What a rush!
My mates just gived my this vinyl. Was one of my favorite tunes of the Hardcore era. And its still one my favorite tunes absolutely banging love it....
Found this at random in a YT playlist. Been looking for it for over 20 years. Cracking set from the old Pirate Radio days. Cardiff - Bass FM 106. Nostalgia central.
The piano riff is actually sampled from Agent Orange - Sounds A Bit Flakey (Jungle Mix) from 1992. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NtI6MZALnlg.htmlm45s
Glad I was born 1977 and did not for the life of me miss rave scene them older friends of mine led me a stray thankyou lol and first e a snowball just my good luck lol god I cry listening to these never wanted it to end!!!
james Hutchinson samez here James I was born sep 1977. If you started early with listening to jungle music we got the best ... I started ' raving at 14' then to the mellow stuff ...enjoyed every second !!!:-)
Me i was december 77. You took the words right out my heart! Rubarb n custurds at a fusion 94 and going to raindance next week lol....listening to the same tracks for 25 years n i still get tingles punching the sky...that how you capture a generation kids!
May 77 here. Still smashing the tunes out when I can and pissing off the neighbours. Can't really hit the dancefloor too much now though, knees are shot.
Cheers for your uploads was always far too mashed to remember names of tunes now I can just look through your stuff and find all the class tunes. Ahhh the good old days huh :D
I used to buy vinyl from Fusion Records and saw VinylGroover on a weekly basis. 94-95 was some of the better years of techno, where technology had progressed beyond the sound of 80s acid, but hadn't quite gotten to the wanky sound we have today. Time machine, you will be mine.
Vinylgroover The Obsession Continues is available on the Hardcore Underground store (Link on our profile) ! It contains a digitally re-mastered .wav of this classic and many more.
This tune was a banger back in the day it made the rhythm station bounce during the fusion promotions with mc sharkey losing his shit when this tune was dropped.
Cheers mate. Most of my uploads are my own vinyl rips, recorded at neutral pitch. unless its shite and in which case it gets whacked up to +6 to get it over and done with quicker. its just a shame my copy of the vinyl is scratched and crackly. Its a belter of a tune :-)
I first heard this track at colossus at the Homebush sports centre. I started mixing within 12 months of going to my first rave. I’m 45 this year and now my daughter loves rave tracks. When she turns 18 I’m taking her tomorrow land in Belgian. Do you love your hardcore?!!!
had this on my mixtape whilst riding a beerbike in hamburg on my stagdo whilst dressed as Bruno..lads didnt know what the hell this was as i was raving away haha
Awesome, You know no-one who has these choons ever uploads them at the speed they were meant to be played at, everything is always 8% too fast :-( Thanks for this !
