Ok here is my theory: At the beginning of Ch2 we saw Rachel5 Get lost at sea and we haven't seen her since. When the water rose up, the ocean did too. So if the ocean flooded the map, it may have brought Rachel with it, meaning Rachel is still out there somewhere. Even if she died, she can just come back again like way back when

If the golden touch is still a thing, that must mean that the powers are still alive. What I’m thinking is, when Midas jumped into the water he must have frozen himself in gold meaning he is just trapped there. So Midas might still be alive. Also, loving Jules character! I think it’s more of a curse. I believe they are probably setting up the idea that Marigold came back without any memory. She had to take on the new identity of Jules and Midas is trying to make her remember. She has joined Shadow after all, which Midas was fighting against.
