The midbrain is part of the brainstem. Pathology of the midbrain results in conditions such as Parkinson's disease and Argyll Robertson pupil. Lesions to the brain stem results in midbrain syndromes including Weber’s Syndrome, Benedikt’s Syndrome and Parinaud Syndrome.

Great video! Just a note that in Benedikt syndrome, the lateral lemniscus is what contributes to the sensory loss as well as sensory ataxia. The superior cerebellar peduncle contributes to a pure a cerebellar ataxia (no sensory component) as well as tremor / choreoathetoid movements. Love your passion for education--thanks for sharing.

it took me a second to realize what you meant about divisible into 12. So like each CN in midline is a number that can be divided INTO 12, not that you add all the CN's in the midline and they should EQUAL 12. That tripped me up for a second lol.

Great video, but abducens lesions do not result in a down-and-out eye, they result in an adducted eye. The abducens nerve is called so because it is responsible for tion. So, impairment will result in abduction (out-eye) impairment.
