[Michigan 2024 Spring Turkey season on public land] First light gobbles are always exciting, but it's rare I get a shot at a bird right off the roost. Because of my lack of success at first light, my favorite time to be in the turkey woods is from 9AM - Noon. On this hunt, just as the sun was directly overhead, a group of toms gets fired up and come strutting into my lap!
