Evermore is a great album...would love to hear more...Coney Island...Cowboy like Me...Evermore featuring Bon Iver...Ivy... so many more...great reaction
Evermore is absolutely my favourite TS album. It's probably the only one of her (or any other musician/band) albums where I LOVE every single track on the album. And this song is easily on my Top 10 favourite TS songs from her entire discoriogrophy. The almost relentless drive of the rhythm on this song is mesmerising. Her phrasing and breath work is honestly perfection. And the story telling... My god, the story telling 💕💕💕
Thank you, Ryan! I love your comments on the entire production. I kinda felt like I could see your mind racing to soak it all up, so i'll give you a tip...some Taylor songs are just about the lyrics , over an amazing melody. Then she has different performances of the same song with album, live, acoustic versions etc. But start with the lyrics and look up what the song is about first. Admittedly, some of her songs may have repetitious lines (looking at you Out of the Woods), but
I can't choose between folklore and evermore - together they are my "favorite album" (which says a lot because I love all of Taylor's albums to some degree). And I love all of the songs on evermore, with the exception of "Closure" which bothers me a bit because of the unpleasant "industrial" percussion. FWI worth, the songs that stand out the most for me are: Ivy Tis the Damn Season Willow Coney Island Happiness (Also, No Body, No Crime - which you've already done.) And now I will leave you with this disturbing image: I'm a 65 year old bald guy but, for the Era's movie (and Halloween, as well) I bought the "evermore coat" and a blonde wig with the "evermore braid". I hope I don't frighten small children.)
guys, you need to listen to exile - long pond studio version. its a song from folklore and it gives me all the feels. it'll be nice to see how you like it.
evermore is one of her best albums! that's why every song is likeable (? pd; next you should listen to: marjorie (she adds her grandma's voice, her grandma was a opera singer), champagne problems and tis' the damn season.
