Dear Kiruthiga , thank you for covering the shop. This shop was my favourite spot for lunch in 1999, those days each chapati was 3.50 with 10 rupees and 50 paise we used to take 3 chapatis and loads of Channa masala. Whenever I cross that place I used to have. Much before food bloggers came in to existence , I had covered about this shop and gupta ji in City express, went and showed him and he had actually stuck that in his shop door. He was so happy, once I came late and he came from his house and gave chapatis. The shop was referred as always banianwala roti shop, gupta ji used to wear only white banian and a lungi, he was iconic person. One of the very few people who used to address me with full name . Small shop give good quality compare with big hotels

Hey I know that shop, it's not so great. It tastes very minimal taste. If you want to try best chola poori try PADI GANESH PRASAD HOTEL. its an old school type of hotel. It's the best sambar I ever tasted.
